I bought this to replace my AJ vacuum sealer, which gave up the ghost after 4 or 5 years. However, I have returned this machine and bought my previous model again for the following reasons...Firstly, the vacuum isn't as strong as my previous machine - it gets the job done, but I can't help feel it could eek out a bit more air (you see the juices slowly creep up the bag, not being forced up it like I had previously).Next, there is a LOT of wastage between the point where you put the end of the bag in and the point where it seals - 1.5 inches - which over the course of a long roll means you are wasting a lot of plastic.Most importantly for me, the thermal cutout activates far too quickly. I buy chicken breasts from an online purveyor of meat and bag them up individually to freeze. I have to make 10-12 bags at a time for these, however this machine was cutting out after only 8 (and this is with the 20 second gap between sealing which the machine forces you to take). I then have to wait to make the remaining bags, but then it will cut out again I have bagged and sealed a few more breasts! The machine doesn't feel particularly warm and the sealing strip isn't particularly hot either. With my old machine I could make 20-30 bags with no problems.I bought this model on the back of it's good reviews, but my experience has been VERY, VERY different to the majority on here. Perhaps I was unlucky and got a slightly defective machine?

The main reason that I purchased this vacuum sealer is to store 3d printer filament to stop it absorbing moisture. The bags are just big enough to fit a 1kg roll of filament in with a bag of desiccant.I also use this for storing food over long periods of time, it does a great job of keeping food fresh when storing in a fridge.The vacuum sealer comes with a roll of vacuum sealing film, a spare seal and tubes for connecting the pump to an external vacuum chamber.The interface is very easy to use, there are buttons for dry and moist food, manual vacuum, sealing, vacuum seal and cancel. The device also features a cutting blade. Using the sealer and cutter you can create bags of any size. The bags can also be reused if you leave enough excess for opening and resealing.Many different branded bags can be purchased on amazon for a fair price.

I was fed up with doing the food shop and then and especially with meat produce (which isn’t the cheapest) having to give it the fox as when u open it it’s going off (and believe me when I say we have the fatest fox around) he has everything from chicken fillets to pork chops and much more. I always say the supermarkets put a dishonest date on some foods too.so I looked on my favourite amazon and found this machine. There were a lot of to choose from but I went for this as you can keep the roll in the machine.i couldn’t wait to try it so when I did my shopping the first thing I tried it with was chicken fillet. I washed mine first then patted them dry as i think the juice stuff can be smelly.read the instructions which were easy to follow and sealed them up next I did mince meat them lamb shanks I tried the fillets 1 week yes one week after the use by date and they were fine no horrid off smell when I left them before in they’re original packets I was over the moon. The only one not so happy is the fox but don’t worry he still gets fed on his usual canned dog meat and buisvuits so he’s fine.

I have a small kitchen so my fridge and freezer aren't very big so I thought that something like this would be great to store food with minimal space to work with. I always refrained from buying as I always thought they were too expensive to replace the actual plastic sheets but after looking at a few I saw this reasonably priced machine with roll of sheets included and replacements werent a lot at all I was quite surprised. So just went for it and got this one and I don't regret it, its really good. Takes a try or two following the instructions carefully but works really well indeed better than I thought. I give this 5 stars and recommend you get this one if it's ease of use and effectiveness that you're looking for.

Really useful product especially in the current situation when we are trying to limit supermarket trip and keep our food fresher longer.Regardless if you are freezing, putting in the fridge or storing in a cupboard vacuum packing will prolong bot the life and freshness of the food.Other benefits include protection from Freezer Burn, an increase in cabinet space, improve taste via marinating and you can save money by bulk buying.This device does everything that you need. Its straight forward and easy to use straight out of the box. The vacuum roll stores nicely in the main unit, there is a built in cutter to trim the roll down to a bag of your desired size. Sealing the bag is done at a press of a button, vacuuming the food is the same process - just press the relevant button (wet/dry) to suck the air out and seal. Works perfectly every time.The device also has an accessory to use with wine bottles, clothing vacuum bags and vacuum storage jars. Its easy to attach, and works brilliantly although I've only been able to test on the clothing vacuum bags so far.This is a great device, easy to use, easy to clean and stores away nicely. Its well worth the purchase for the money you will save on food waste. Really Good Product.

Bought it in December 2019. Used it only 4 times. Locking mechanism no longer working! Found it impossible to find a way to email and or ring Amazon to place a complaint!Since writing my review I managed to ‘’talk’’ to Amazon via a chat. As usually the service provided by Amazon was second to none. As the purchase was fulfilled by Amazon and the item was still under the 12 month guarantee, they offered me an immediate refund on returning the item in question. It is also worth mentioning that I got in touch with the seller who asked me to send a video to their workshop so that they can investigate and check out the fault. Now how can one take a video of the faulty locking mechanism it beats me! This is not only a challenge but a mission impossible too!
