The product is very good for the price
The product is very good for the price, you get what you pay for, the alarms aren't very loud, so for the doors or windows that are far from your bedroom you can place for a better sound quality 2 alarms instead of one.The batteries are included so that's perfect and the alarms stick very well to wood or to iron and steel.I'll suggest the inventors to improve the sound quality, but for the price come one this is the best deal.

Loud Enough For Your Neighbors To Hear
I put these on my first floor doors and windows to get an extra peace of mind at night time. I'm a female who lives alone I have a pit bull but he snores when he's sleeping and I can't hear anything over that. I have a gun and security bars for my doors still didn't feel like enough. I didn't want to spend a couple hundred on security cameras at the time. I seen these at the dollar tree so I went home to read the reviews on Amazon and made the purchase. They are LOUD and I can sleep better knowing that my 70 pound snoring dog and I will be woken up if there is a intruder.

Loud for me? How about for you?
OK how do you know if they are loud or not? Well some people don't hear as well as others, some people have bigger homes, others live in apartments. What do I mean? Well I mean that your world is a factor as to the noise level of these bad boys. I live in a 2 bedroom apartment. For muah, these are loud enough. So loud that my adjoining neighbors would be pretty pissed off if I wasn't home and one was going off. They would definitely come looking for what the heck was happening. Buttttt they stickiness isn't really sticky enough. I have had some fall and luckily have been home to shut them off. How do you get them to stick better? No really, someone tell me how do I get them to stick better. I mean sure I can glue them I guess but this is a rental. Tape? Hmmmmmm.

The birds chirp
I cannot give it the best of review but I can say that it works. The reason I cannot give it the best reviews is my intentions for them was not met. I intended to place them on my doors and a few at my brothers house but some reason the doors of my bother house closes deeper than the door hole. This means the birds will never stop chirping. However, I put it on my basement door and yes it works great. My son tried to sneak into the basement and the birds were chirping loudly. I do feel safer.

Great protection
These were purchased for our granddaughter. We had been talking one evening that she felt uncomfortable at night having the children in their rooms since there had been so problems in her neighborhood recently. She actually remembered these from when she was small (we had them in our home - staying with us. They have a loud piercing sound, so you can hear them if any door or window is opened.

Good idea but poor design and DOESN'T WORK WITH TRIMMED DOORS
My doors have wood moulding (trim) around them, as I believe most doors do. These devices claim to work up to 10mm apart, but when they're not right next to each other, they don't work right consistently. So, unless your door is flush with your wall, don't waste your time with these. My wood trim isn't even that big. I attached a photo of my door for help - the picture is uploading sideways for some reason (unless Amazon fixes it) even though it's straight on my phone. Sorry.

Mostly OK
These devices come with a paper separator in the battery compartment to prevent discharge. You need to remove it for the device to work. TWO of the alarms did not have the paper separator and the batteries were dead. These things take three silver oxide button batteries. SR44 (old style) or 357 size batteries. Of the ten devices, three has soft alarms, the rest were properly loud.

Use anywhere you want an alarm!
We bought our house about 18 months ago, 6 months ago someone decided to try to break into our house. The entire summer before, we had our windows wide open with fans in them and no one tried ANYTHING! So, when summer came around again, we needed to figure out something. We had a window AC, but we couldn't run it 24 hours a day. We have always put fans in the window over night so that our AC isn't trying to cool a warm house. Keeps the bill down and the husby and I happy. Couldn't do that anymore with jerks on the loose trying to get into our house.Solution? Window alarms! We bought this kit to put them on the windows to allow them to be open a little. We put them in a position where if they get bumped by an idiot trying to climb in they will go off. So the window is open enough to allow a fan to pull some cool air in, but not enough for a body to make it through. On top of using it for our windows, we put it on our sons' room door. Now, before a freak out and messages start pouring in these don't lock the door, they just make noise when the contact is broken. My boys are 12, they are at that age where they are pushing boundaries. But their boundary pushing is getting ridiculous. They get into things they shouldn't while everyone is asleep. The final straw was burning candles. After trying everything we could think of, we put one of these on their door. It allows us to hear when their door is opened, and confront if needed.I would recommend these for windows, external or internal doors. Anywhere that the contact could be broken where you don't want it to be.The only potential problem I've seen is heat. If you put them on a window that gets direct light, it can cause the adhesive to melt/get gooey and release. This happened on our windows, but they were able to be reattached easily and it didn't fall back off afterwards. So, it's possible that the issue stemmed from us installing incorrectly as opposed to a flaw with the product.Over all I'm really glad that we purchased these and will definitely recommend them to our neighbors and friends!
