I got into 'death metal' earlier this year and this is the first album by Unleashed that I've gotten but it won't be the last. I love that you can understand the vocals without having to look at the lyrics.

Let The Hammer Fly !!!
Unleashed is one of the most consistent and quality bands in death metal . With their exhaustive body of work , they have nary a dud in their discography ( okay , maybe Warrior or Hell's Unleashed weren't up to snuff ) . Since Sworn Allegiance , they have produced nothing short of top notch albums . Dawn of the Nine , albeit predictable , is another solid and reliable release from the Swedes. The guitar solos and drum fills are excellent , as is the rhythm section and riffs . Johnny Hedlund, while easily decipherable , is still a commanding vocal force . The production on this album is pristine without compromising any heaviness. Thematically, this is a narrative continuation of Oldelheim. Where its predecessor lacked in accessibility and reveled in black metal undercurrents, Dawn Of the Nine chugs along like the stellar Midvinterblot album . Some of the mid-paced songs are less memorable but no less heavy . On the faster songs , Unleashed gets the listener to rally with their battle cries . If you've liked Unleashed in the past 10 years , you'll enjoy this album . It's entertaining and , more importantly, well written . Unleashed know how to write catchy hooks, melodies , and riffs that stick in your head while simultaneously crushing your skull . Dawn of the Nine sounds like an adrenaline rush into a war field . Hammer Battalions ..Unite !!!

Love all their stuff but somehow this falls short of releases over the last ten years or so overall, tho there are some real stand out tracks. You either like their accessible sound or you dont. Sing along old school DM with a strong element of HM.

Very good album. Better than couple of its predecessors. Good work over music and production. One of the best today's Swedish metal bands.
