I use this lamp differently than most folks. I sell a lot of books on Amazon and in other on-line places. These require pictures, and flash pix usually result in unacceptable glare from glossy book covers. Also, even on non-reflective book pages, they sometimes give a hard, actinic blue light tint to everything. Not good. So I determined to get a nice LED multi-warmth lamp with an adjustable-to-any-position soft gooseneck head on it to make the photo lighting a bit easier. A low-weight highly portable floor lamp seemed ideal, so as to be able to get it wherever I wanted the light from any position.Among online choices , this looked like a good candidate. It’s designed for lighting the working area of people working on eyelash extensions as a craft (they do that?) or “facial spa salon makeup” applications, whatever those are. I’m certainly not doing that, but a lighting source for them sounds pretty good for what I do.It’s not a regular plug-in lamp, but it uses USB-sourced power. Since I’m often near the computer, that works well, but anywhere else it’s not a problem because it comes with a nice small power adapter you can plug into the wall and plug your lamp’s USB cord into. It doesn't consume much power.It’s not quite as tall as I would have expected a “floor lamp” to be—for me, it’s basically eye-high while seated, which is ok.Assembly from the boxed pieces was easy, after I gave up looking for one more length of pipe to make it taller. One small problem results from the pieces being screwed together from the base to the top of the pole. As you move the lamp and its head around, changing direction and position, you tend to unscrew the pole’s parts from each other. this becomes a permanent part of my office tools, I’ll get some mild glue to put to on the threads to inhibit it from unscrewing so easily and so unintentedly.The variety of light shades and levels available is good. The blue tint is bright and clear; the more yellow, soft tint is not too washed out and dim. The bright level is bright enough, the not-so-bright level (I hesitate to call it “dim.” I don’t want to give the wrong impression.) is also acceptable for most applications. It took me a while to get the hang of the switches—for the first few days, I was cycling through all the choices before I found what I was looking for.Overall, I like this cute little floor lamp. The words “floor lamp” often refer to something designed to light up a room, but this is not for that purpose. It’s a floor lamp because it stands on the floor, but it's designed to provide customizable bright light onto a desktop workspace. It lets you move the light source around freely on its gooseneck top and concentrate it exactly where you need it. The lighting head is a strip of LED bulbs that give steady and even illumination over a larger area than a single bulb would. It works very well for its intended purpose.

This light has 4 settings (warm/bright, warm/soft, white/bright, white/soft) Easy to store because of its thinness and also easy to put together and break down. You can twist and adjust the light to how you like it. Only downside is you can’t use it for too long (about 3+ hours) with a standard adapter because it will burn and ruin the adapter!! Used with an apple adapter (lasted 2 hours before it sparked and burned) and a fast charging adapter (lasted about 3 and a half hours) but other than that I really like this light.
