Inconvenient and pricey
I found out about this product on Shark Tank and thought it would be just the thing for reducing the chance of getting a cold on long airplane flights--I get a cold about half the time I fly a long distance. Here's my experience:The screen itself is a small circle with a sticky edge around it to adhere to your nose around the nostril. Because the sticky part is very narrow and the (large size) screen not much larger than my nostril, to be sure it's actually adhering all the way around the nostril I have to use a mirror; otherwise, you can't be sure you haven't left a small space around the edge, and if you do that, the purpose of the whole thing is lost. So the first thing is, you either have to put the thing on before you board in the airport bathroom, or do it in the bathroom on the plane. Unless you do this, if you're like me you'll find yourself wondering throughout the flight if you've got these things on your nose for no purpose because all of the germs are coming in around the edge.Breathing through the screens is slightly distracting, but not a major problem. On a five-hour flight I never completely forget I was wearing them. They look peculiar. Some people won't care about that, and others will feel self-conscious. I felt self-conscious, although nobody gave any indication that they noticed. In a darkened cabin they're less noticeable.I had a second flight to connect to, with a layover. Change out the screens, or walk around the terminal and sit in the bar with weird-looking things on your nose? I chose to take them off. Put on a new pair for my second, short flight? I decided not to.Within two days after arriving at my destination I came down with a cold. Had I caught it before I left home? Did I catch it in the terminal or on my second flight? Or after that second flight? Who knows. On the return trip, I had a very slightly runny nose--the kind that I needed to blow maybe once every few hours. What that meant on a five-hour flight was that after about two hours I had to take off the screens.Bottom line: I would recommend these only to someone who doesn't mind the cost of using a lot of these, and truly doesn't care whether people think they look odd.

A simple solution to avoid germs
I saw this product during an older Shark Tank episode. I keep a package in my carry-on. I will admit that from afar most will not notice you wearing them, but close-up people may take a second glance at your nose wondering what it is. I have used them on over a dozen plane trips since I purchased my first pouch...haven't caught any cold or flu symptoms that I occasionally have had in the past after flying. One caveat, you need to focus more of your breathing through your nose.

Just What We Needed
Easy to use and both my husband and I stayed healthy. We flew for 14+ hours plus multiple shorter flights, and people on the plane were coughing and sneezing everywhere. But we have been home now for 2 weeks and are still feeling great! We will use First Defense from now on whenever we travel.

Great product, I've used this many times in the past mainly for flying on commercial airlines and it works great! Use a mirror or reverse the camera in you cell phone to put them on so you don't accidentally leave a gap and make them less effective. If you have a stuffy nose from a cold, don't even try using these! If you want double protection on the plane use these then put on a mask over your mouth and nose, then check out how many people look at you like you have some terrible disease that you are bringing on the plane--it also helps you keep the seat next to you open!

Added protection with face mask.
I would give this a five star but the large size is still a few millimeters too small. Obviously my nostrils are not average size. An XL screen would be ideal. Also, the screens don’t hold well when you sweat. Tried wearing them on the golf course and they could not hold. Prob could be remedied with a larger size. Use them in the airport for extra protection with face covering and did fine.

I'm a fan,!! Pix are Lg.
Sorry about the gross nose pix, but these are pretty good filters. They stick well, even double masked. You can reposition them. I felt safer at the dentist during Covid-19 & it worked great at home for my dust allergies.

Nice invention and certainly prevents breathing in small particles
Nice invention and certainly prevents breathing in small particles. Very useful for lawn mowing. Essentially, it's a micro-screen with adhesive around the edge and it's applied to the outer edge of each nostril. I would recommend getting the larger size if you're unsure. The only negative is the price. The package of seven pairs is almost $11. And the screens are a one-time use product. I think they should sell 30 pairs for that price.

Worked well
My boyfriend works in a concrete plant and is around dirt and dust all day. These prevented him from sneezing and coughing all day at work, which normally is constant. However he had to use the entire 3-pack for one day of work, so not very cost effective.
