I like this "landing pad" for its visibility from an airborne drone. It provides a reasonably clean, dirt/dust free platform for launching and landing a drone. It is lightweight, which is good for transport, but terrible if you are launching from a place where you can't use the supplied ground pegs to tie it down. Given I like to find flat smooth surfaces, like parking lots, tennis courts, patios, etc. for staging my drone operations (it's so easy to lose small items in grass), there is not way to secure this landing pad, and likely most others like it. Thus, even the slightest wind will pick it up and blow it around. Chasing down one's landing pad while your drone is airborne isn't my idea of a product I can rely upon to provide a dust free environment when taking off or landing. It's value as a distinctive "landmark" from the airborne drone when returning to land, is negated if it is sitting vertically against a fence or blowing down the street. I'd trade extra weight in transport for more weight in the landing pad itself, so it could stay in place, when not pegged into the ground, when there is a bit more than a gentle breeze.

It is good. Two different colors blue and orange. You can not us it on cement it is too light and you can not use the stakes. Over all it is a good product for drones. For a Heli. you don't need one of these pads. Just take in the grass.

It’s pretty cool, Tip for those saying they couldn’t get it back in the holder. Twist it like you do with the sling loaded sun shades for your car. It’s orange on one side blue on the other. I would say use the stakes on grass or add some weights to the stake loops if wind gets under it it may want to pop up. But for the price and all it’s a winner in my book

Bright and easy to see. Folds up nice and small. Stays put under rotor wash with the included stakes.

having a landing pad really is a necessity when launching/landing on ground that has dust or grass. keeps debris from the lens on my Mavis 2 Zoom
