Scooby Apocalypse (2016-2019) Vol. 5

I've been really enjoying the series and this collection is just as good as the others. They shake up the characters a bit and the story remains compelling. The art seems a little rougher than previous issues, but it still looks good. The only reason its not getting 5 stars is because of the inclusion of secret squirrel. I haven't read a single review that doesn't trash that side story, and it deserves every ounce of hate it gets, its a stain on what is otherwise a fantastic comic. I'm looking forward to the conclusion when volume 6 releases.

I’ve loved Scooby-Doo and the gang for as long as I can remember, but after so many incarnations of these once beloved characters....they lost me along the way. I’m now ready to say goodbye to mystery inc. There is no reason to follow characters through a storyline this awful when they are nothing but names from a once beloved show. Scooby, shaggy, daphne, Fred, and Velma that I loved don’t exist anymore and that’s ok. I hope the next gen of fans will add meaning to these names, and I hope they come to love the new mystery inc adventures as much as I did.

This is some of the best writing in comics. Such a new and fresh take on classic characters. I was so disappointed that the higher-ups didn't like the new take on scooby doo. If you are looking for a fantastic read and new takes on zombies and a classic cartoon, check this out!!!!!!

Bought for my father as a gift and he loved it! Can wait for the next one!

Another great edition!

This was a great series when it started out, with a fun spin on some well-loved characters. However, having managed to maintain the quality over the previous 4 volumes, things are going downhill now. The reconfiguration of the protagonists' circumstances was probably necessary in order to keep things fresh, but it has not been handled well. Not only are characters changed quite dramatically, they are now (with the exception of Shaggy) either deeply unlikeable or two-dimensional. I will be buying volume 6, but only because I know it is the final one. My hopes for it are not high.On the plus side, this volume contains the final episodes of Secret Squirrel. After a dreary start, the last couple of episodes are very funny indeed - The words 'but she's an opossum' will stay with me for a long time. The Secret Squirrel side-story is replaced by Atom Ant auditioning for the Justice League - So far, very uninspiring.

This is currently my new favourite comic series.Entertaining, great artwork..keeps you thinking.

A wonderful series, thoroughly recommended.
