The beautician at my hair salon said you should never wash a boar bristle brush, coz then your washing off the oils that are good for your hair. A regular comb only cleans so much, i found that Afro Pik combs, the ones with long, metal wires, are great for cleaning a boar bristle brush. My beautician has a professional's metal comb, with a long, thin handle that ends in a very thin point that she uses that looks effective, but i've never found one for myself.

Q: Has the problem with bristles falling out been corrected by now?

In response to another customer's concern about this brushes bristles falling out....I have had no such problem at all in the three years I've used this brush. It is completely satisfactory.
