Spring Awakening

It's really interesting how if you look at movies made so many years ago, there is a lot of sensory. But within movies and books today, people can write about the past and share what things were really like. First off, the book is in perfect condition, so "Thank you" to the seller. Second, the story is about a strict, German society, many years ago. It deals with teenage rebellion and self-discovery. All of the adults in the book are censoring their children, and through curiosity, they are figuring things out on their own and things turn bad. It's a must-read!

this is an AMAZING play and I was so excited to receive this book. I am very happy with the story and songs, but one thing REALLY makes me mad about this book. they mixed up two of the characters' names! two characters from Spring Awakening, Ernst and Hanschen's, names are mixed up with two other characters, Otto and Georg. this is a very crucial error, and changes a good bit of the story. now, maybe I've got this wrong and the scene originally had Otto and Georg, and they just changed it. I don't think that's the case, though. I still love this play, though it's a great coming of age story. just keep in mind that the "Word of Your Body" reprise is supposed to be sung by Hanschen and Ernst. NOT Otto and Georg. it will make the book make more sense.

I always have liked Spring Awakening since I saw it from the first time, but I didn't know I could actually have the script of the musical right on my hands...When I saw it I was like: 'I have to buy it!' and it's incredible! It's good because, as spring awakening doesn't have its dvd, you can actually 're-watch' it without needing to wait for them to come to your city again, or you can read it for the first time and love it! It's just such an incredible story that is almost impossible not to like. And this book comes even with the sketches of the characters. So, if you are a spring awakening addicted, you must buy it ;) If you aren't, then you should buy it because it is an amazing story.

Definitely not for everyone. Had a great plot and was enthralling. It definitely discusses difficult subject matter so there’s that. I’d just watch the age of the reader. I really enjoyed read it in one night in a school night.

I love this musical and this book is amazing. It includes the full script as well as thorough production notes. I definitely recommend it for those who are fans of the musical, or any theatre enthusiast to enjoy this modern classic.I bought the book from used dealer Book Alley. It was inexpensive, shipping was timely, it was packaged well, and the book was in excellent condition.

This book was absolutely amazing. I loved it. It was powerful and not at all afraid to face issues from 1890 Germany that still exist today.

This has to be a must for everyone who loves Spring Awakening not only does it have the scripted material the actors say but you can singalong to the songs of the show as well. It also has a little background of the show in its early days of reworkin songs and script and addin pieces that were not in the orginal play. Well worth the money.

great product no issues

Really enjoyed reading this, a sad story, however it is compelling. Song lyrics and also Susan Hilferty's costume designs for various characters. One thing I wouls say, is the song's titles aren't displayed and the beginning of each song, so you have to read a little into it to figure that out.But overall, a fabulous musical. Would love to see it on stage someday!
