Thrilling details of uncommon women
Detailed thriller from an able reporter; Makes for interesting read. Non linear narration and corroborating multiple sources add spice to the stories

Very very interesting
Typical Hussain Zaidi fare... No surprises here. But very very interesting and enjoyable.A good addition to Mr. Zaidi's repertoire. Good insights into the underworld.

Mafia Queens
It was an interesting book of these rough and violent women who were involved in drugs but yet did good things for people who were in the situation of poverty!

Engrossing read about little known aspect of India’s crime scene
I saw the Hindi film Gangubai, about one of the women showcased in the book and enjoyed the movie so much I decided to read the book

Interesting book
This book has to read with Dongri to Dubai. These two books complement each other. The author is a veteran crime reporter and has covered a wide section of female mafia, contract killers and molls of Dons. As his earlier books, this is engrossing and worth the money. Though I would say that the proof reading was extremely poor. Too many spelling mistakes in the book.

Excellent
Amazing and deep insight into inner working of underworld in Mumbai during 1990, when things were shaping up across the map.

Crime stories Bolywood style
Stories of the underworld which tittilate the imagination. Obviously there is very mild effort to rationalise and justify some of their actions. read and throway kind of book.If you looking for sometittlation this is the book for you

but the writing could have been better. Some of the narratives seemed incomplete
The stories were interesting, but the writing could have been better. Some of the narratives seemed incomplete, particularly as the book progressed. Also, the kindle version has some typos as if OCR software had been used and the results not proofread by a human. There were quite noticeable, but didn't necessarily interfere with the reading of the book.

Good Read
It was a good read. I am amazed to read how sometimes normal women like you and me could become part of underworld. Interesting read.

The Stories from Bombay and Mumbai
Byculla, Dongri, Sion, Nepal, Dubai and more. This is the book that has the section on Gangubai (that was recently made into the Alia Bhatt movie). This is a book from the author of Black Friday. There are other excellent stories (than Gangubai)!too - some told better than others for sure. Pappamani, Sapna didi, Jenabai Daruwali, Anita Naik and even Monica Bedi. This is a racy thriller style narration in places and autobiographical style in others - the distinct styles and the stories themselves are worth everything. The stories of South Bombay and how women from all over India and Bombay came to make this the metropolis we know makes this a must read.
