I've set up my table saw fence up with it and I checked the run-out of my table saw blade. I have had no issues with it or the base. If you're looking for a nice dial indicator for your shop that won't break the bank...I'd consider this one from Clockwise Tools. Review: Great deal - Nice instrument. Works good, has a decent amount of weight to it gives it a quality feel. The case it comes in is a joke. Don't these companies know once you screw on the mount you never take it off? Be sure to look at the "calibration" paper that comes with it. The serial number on the gage didnt match the paper. lmao. I would have been surprised actually if it did!
