NDS Catch Basin Drainage Insert Grate Kit (12 x 12)

Well made catch basin drain and easy insulation. This drain will aggressively tackle our drainage problem.

The box works just fine. I would buy another one if I find a need for it.

Looks great but I wished the top was metal.

This 12x12 Catch Basin was just the answer needed to keep a downspout from backwashing into our patio. I recommend that you drill a few holes (4-5) in the bottom and level the catch basin on about 3 inches of gravel, In a heavy rain the 5 small holes won't hamper the basin filling to the level of the drainage pipe, but after the rain the bottom holes will permit the catch basin to drain more completely. You will note when you get the catch basin the drain connection to the pipe is about 3-4 inches from the bottom of the basin. I ordered the green grate cover, it looks good with the Arizona Grass, blends in seamlessly.

I used the box to trap water in back yard and drain it to the front.
