Needs improvement but works as intended.
Writing this in regards to designer asking for product feedback. Works as intended and the dimensions are pretty much spot on from my use. Down side is the materials are bit on the light side for any heavy use. The shape and size is about right, but the stem of the handle is a rolled "U" channel and is a bit weak also allowing food to gather in the handle stem. The holes and round lower flat portion is very good for mashing potatoes and beans in a round mixing bowl. A slight flex on lower part, but not too bad when used and cleans easy.(Feedback for Designer) Would recommend redesigning handle & stem. Use solid stainless steel rod stock on the handle shank & stem. Handle should incorporate a solid smooth bulbous grip and lower flair/rest that would better support ones hand since your using a downward "Jab" motion with moderate pressure. Those handle styles are very common in Tampers & Stampers for a good reasons.

This is my 2nd review. Now that I have used this at least 3 times,it is the best masher I have ever used. Out with my old fashion masher. This is easy to use,gets all the lumps out with ease,even gets the potatoes out of the corners of the pot. Mixes the potatoes so good,makes them so creamy. What a kitchen tool.

Not only for potatos
WOW cool that I can do everything related to smashing or mashing. I received this product at a discounted price, during a promotion for my honest and unbiased opinion. I like the quality of the stainless steal. It is sturdy and I don't see it breaking or falling apart any time soon. It has replaced my old plastic masher and just in time too. We make lots of different things that require mashing or smashing like guacamole and pie crust. I use the masher to mash the graham crackers to make the crust for my cheese cake. So much easier. I can add the butter after they are smashed and mix it at the same time. Perfect kitchen helper.

I bought this potato masher from all the great reviews - Well I've had it for some time now and I have to say I love this kitchen tool! I use it all the time and I never used my previous masher. This one is so easy to use and the design lets you get into the edge of your pant to get every last mash.

multitool but may not be as intended
I used this primarily as a potato masher and I do LOVE potatoes this is a must have I thought when the oppurtunity came to get this at a discounted price in exchange for honest and unbiased feedback . First , I regret not realizing that it was a multi tool, it DOES say 3 in 1 but I only saw POTATO MASHER. Perhaps at at a later date I can update my review to include this.I have tried using spoons to mash and its a pain and takes forever and at this current point I dont see how using this as a masher would make it easier although it would cover more surface area , I still prefer the squeeze handles kind.I obviously see that it can slice and after handling it some more and just testing it and do agree on that use. I do seeing it being used as a strainer for college students howeverThe handle is great as its firm yet easy to handle.I want to rate this higher as the other products are great but at this time until further trials are done I just can not.
