I was at Zara looking at shirts with mandarin collars similar to this only to find that the last ones in my size had sold out. I searched the internet to find something similar and found this on Amazon. I was not expecting much in terms of the quality of the material, but was really surprised. It was as good, if not better than, what I saw at Zara. It has more style also. It reminds me of the days I spent in the islands down in the Gulf of Thailand where they wore black. I am really happy I purchased this and ordered two more. The shirt is made in China (what isn't) but this is a U.S. size, not European or Asian where you have to buy 2 or 3 sizes UP in order to find your right fit. It is a good quality linen -- not the finest linen -- but good quality, medium to heavyweight linen with double stitching. I don't like shirts made of thin materials. I purchased an XL in black and the fit is comfortable in the shoulders with some room in the sides. These shirts are not made to be a tapered fit. This is a real black not a faded black. The linen has a nice shine to the surface. There is a nice small pocket to the left. The buttons are a little hard to button at first because the loopholes are small but you get the hang of it. The button holes are sewn in a round clasp made of linen fabric. Probably better to send this to the cleaners than to wash by hand. I love the style factor and the comfort factor. They could work on the name though. Something that blings.

It's a very nice shirt, nice design and it's tru to size, the only thing NOT ok it's that the sleeves are too long!

The material is great as well as the look. Unfortunately, the size doesn't much the north American. I ordered size Large in khaki, but it was to much bigger. I ended to pay almost twice the price of the shirt to reduce its dimension. The material and the shape are so good, I ended to order Medium size of white and black color, hoping this time will fit.Thank.Clerance

I asked for, and got this shirt as a gift. I loved it so much I ordered a second one for myself.The material is soft and comfortable... nice and thick, not flimsy. Contrary to the pics, the white version has silver buttons - which are handsome too - and unlike some shirts where the button loops are so loose that the shirt keeps getting unbuttoned, these loops are nice and tight.Looks great as a casual shirt - but just as nice buttoned up with a jacket.Two big thumbs up!

I am a hot natured person and live in New Orleans to boot where it is hot and humid. I never wear long sleeve shirts if I can help it but this one is surprisingly cool even though I bought one in black. It appears to keep the temperature of its surroundings so if I am in a building with A/C, it is wonderful. Only drawback is it comes out of the wash very wrinkly and takes an extreme effort to iron so I do not wear it much because I don't like to put my wife to that much work. Other than the ironing thing, I am very satisfied with the design, fit and comfort!

Super comfortable shirt that launders well and line dries more or less wrinkle-free. Size chart is accurate and helpful (measure your chest). Cut is loose and casual. I do find that while the fit is very comfortable it does not take a lot of shoulder/arm movement to pop these types of buttons. So, either buy a size up if keeping the buttons closed is important to you or expect to wear it unbuttoned (and therefore pretty casual) if you prefer a more tailored fit.

Love this shirt. Bought one before for my husband and had to give it away because it was a little small. He was so disappointed so I had to get another one in XL and it was perfect. Excellent quality and well made.

Awesome shirt. So pleased. I'm a medium / large so I ordered a large and it fits perfectly. I ordered this in khaki and I was concerned about transparency. This puppy is not transparent at all! Perfect :-) ps if you're a guy without the body of a model and would prefer to hide a little man-boobage or pudge then know that this fabric is soft, light, comfortable, breathable and yet somehow also STIFF and CRISP, even at the windy beach (Yes you want to sport this to that upcoming summer wedding). I think this is due in part to linen's non-stretch quality and thus the fit around the shoulders keeps the shirt from drooping/hugging the body. Go ahead, buy one! 😆 You can thank me later.
