Great, super-inexpensive 16ga 3-prong ext cord
Even I sometimes have trouble saying much about an extension cord, particularly ones where I don’t have super-specific requirements and the product is satisfactory. This extension cord is made of 3x 16 gauge copper wires, properly insulated, then jacketed together in a white plasticky “wrapper” that’s a little slicker than your average outdoor orange extension cord, but not as slippery as indoor lamp wire (if that helps). Cable clips are not included, though I found that coax clips (like for cable-tv cables) from the 99¢ store are a perfect fit.I used this to power a Ring floodlight cam going where there was no fixture, since Ring/Amazon wanted $20 ($30?) for the base with a power cord, and this was like $8. So I ended up cutting the cord and stripping the wires, which is how I can confidently verify that they’re 16ga and high quality.
