Review: Here’s how it works… - Right. I feel I need to clarify how this works - as some of the reviews expect results in hours or the next day. 🤦‍♂️. I get it, some people just aren’t that in the know with DIY, and that’s okay. So, here’s the low down: This is a “systemic” weed killer. It will kill the entire plant. It is very good at this. But, it takes time! Unlike some weed killers that promise results within days, this is designed to get a proper job done, and does not pretend to show results. If you are using another weed killer that is showing results within hours, you can bet your bottom dollar that’s by design - from the marketing department. But I assure you that weed killer may look like it’s doing a good job, until the weed returns a few weeks later because the root was untouched. You essentially just burned the leaves. This stuff interrupts the plants ability to make essential enzymes for the plants to live. That takes time. But it kills the entire plant - properly, root and all. Depending on the species, it will take between 1 to 4 weeks to fully kill. You’ll likely see wilting within a week. Now here’s the important part - this is absorbed through the leaves - do not be tempted to pull the weeds before or after application. No leaves, means no absorption, means no worky. Be patient, don’t be tempted to “help it along” by trying to manually remove the weed - you’ll hinder the process. You’ve been warned. Don’t apply when it’s going to be raining, or excessive heat (daylight sun) - it needs to absorb. Rain will wash it off. Too much direct sunlight will dry it before it has time to absorb - so apply early morning or evening, and avoid mid day sun. Then be patient. This stuff is great, the weeds have died off. What I actually got it for was the dreaded ivy that refuses to die so I used this, I did expect to see some results a few days later like the leaves starting to go brown etc but didn’t I thought I bought another dud. However 2 wks later it does seem to be working. The leaves are looking crusty and brown and starting to look like it is dying off. Hopefully this does the trick. It’s not as expensive as other ones I was using so I am surprised by the outcome. Child safety cap so prevents any leakage. Instructions are easy to do. Will definitely purchase again.

**Q: Will it kill a growing tree...**
A: Yes. Drill the tree roots and pour some of this neat into the holes. Repeat after a week and the tree will be dead within a month. Well, depending on the size of the tree of course.

**Q: Would this be safe to use on brambles which are growing in between trees, without killing the trees?**
A: Not too sure about this. I have actually painted neat rootblast onto ivy and bramble leaves with a paintbrush I bought from Poundland in a set for children. The ivy and brambles were growing near plants I did not wish to harm. Seemed to work, but I would not wish to use in a sprayer or watering can if trees are close. I hope this has been helpful.

**Q: What is standard mixture**
A: All three answers are wrong in fact! The description states 24ml per 1 litre....take no notice of the info on the bottle picture, it's changed.

**Q: Will this kill bindweed?**
A: Yes eventually.  DO THE FOLLOWING WITH CARE. Make a double strength batch and mix with wallpaper paste to make a thick weed-killer paste.  Transfer half a cup full of the mixture into a strong freezer bag and then stuff the bindweed into the bag.  Seal the bag around the bindweed with a cable tie, making sure that the bindweed is well covered by the mixture.  Repeat with each clump of bindweed. Leave the bindweed and bags for at least a month.  This will kill the majority of the bindweed, but you may need to repeat the process if new clumps emerge.

Okay I thought I would leave a review a few wks after use. Have used other strong strength weed killer that were just urgh. This stuff is great, the weeds have died off. What I actually got it for was the dreaded ivy that refuses to die so I used this, I did expect to see some results a few days later like the leaves starting to go brown etc but didn’t I thought I bought another dud. However 2 wks later it does seem to be working. The leaves are looking crusty and brown and starting to look like it is dying off. Hopefully this does the trick. It’s not as expensive as other ones I was using so I am surprised by the outcome. Child safety cap so prevents any leakage. Instructions are easy to do. Will definitely purchase again.

A good quality weed killer . It appears to deal with most weeds ,although on occasions it seems to be a bit slow. Odd times a second application my be suitable. As with most weed killers it is expensive but using the instructed dilution rate it gives good coverage.
