I am the world's pickiest keyboard user...
Let's make this clear on the first line - this keyboard is PERFECT (for me). I've had this for 10 months now and have been working from home for 6 of them, so it's been tested. As I mentioned, I am picky. I have had expensive keyboards and I've had cheap ones. This has been one of my favourites so far. I need keyboards that have a few things: low profile keys, a numeric keypad, wired, no faff (multimedia buttons bells and whistles, etc). You can get those fairly easily but as I age my eyesight is deteriorating so I now need a backlight. I think I had 3 before this one in a variety of colours, but I don't want it to look flashy - I need it to be functional and high contrast. So to find a keyboard with all of the above and just a plain white/grey backlight for such a cheap price, well I wasn't holding my breath. 10 months later and I haven't even considered replacing it. The opposite in fact because I'm going to buy a couple more just in case they get retired. I can not think of a single negative to say about it. And the backlight turns off too. It's going to be a struggle getting used to the usual standard keyboards when I go back into the office. Update: I've now had the keyboard just short of 3 years. I'm still using it now but it's time to replace it. My only gripe (and it's unreasonable) is that some of the keys have worn away so the backlight on some is a blob rather than a defined letter. I don't touch type, so it's an issue. But it's been 3 years of daily use so I can't complain. Everything else still works fine. No loose keys, no 'problem' keys. I'm probably going to try a different brand but only because the typing noise is clattery and I'm used to a more silent one now (via work). As other reviews have mentioned the enter key is a bit of a strange shape, but I got used to it quickly and it was never an issue. This brand does a low profile, backlit quieter keyboard but I think it's overpriced.

Nice piece of kit
A really great little keyboard that is a pleasure to use. It is quite thin but definitely not flimsy. The keys are square and seem a little bit larger than other keyboards but that could just be an optical illusion due to the fact the letters on the keys are large, bright and clear. Even without the backlight on all letters and characters are easy to read. Even though the keyboard is thin the keys have a good amount of travel when hit giving the feel of an old style 'clunky' keyboard - I mean that in a good way. I am not a gamer so cannot comment on that side of performance but for general typing and such it works well. The response time from keystroke to letter appearing on the screen is up to the level of any other keyboard I have used and the positive key action and slight thud are a reassuring confirmation that you have not missed a key. The layout of the keys is pretty much the UK standard although, as mentioned by other reviewers, the 'Enter' key is only one row high as opposed to the normal two. In use I hardly noticed this so it was no issue for me. Other than the '#' being moved to accommodate the single row 'Enter' key all other keys and functions are present and in their normal locations. The backlight is a good brightness - not so bring as to cause a squint but bright enough to show the letters etc clearly. If you are looking for a keyboard that can cope with fat fingers (like mine) and eyesight that is not quite as sharp as it once was (like mine) then this is an ideal keyboard for you and at a very reasonable price.

Light up keyboard but performance comprised in other areas
The keyboard has very large bright keys, ideal for dark rooms or for the visually impaired. If you need a large well lit keyboard then this is it, as long as you are willing to accept some compromises elsewhere. An adjustment for the brightness might be useful for some these might be too bright. Also the keyboard remains lit when the PC is off, which may be a problem for some. The letters on the keys are very large, filling the surface of the key, giving the keyboard a slightly toy like appearance, but for non touch typists this could be an advantage. Its not what you might call high tech looking, but could be ideal for some uses. The keyboard quality is okay, but these are not the greatest feeling keys, with a very distinct plastic feel to them. The keys are enlarged version of those you get on a laptop, these give a reasonable degree of travel, but are quite heavy resistance so high speed touch typists may need to look elsewhere. The keyboard is also quite noisy, with the plastic impression reinforced with plastic clicking sounds and some keys like the space bar squeak if not hit dead centre. The keyboard doesn't have a riser function to tilt the keyboard toward the user, this is found on most other keyboards and the omission of tilt adjustment here is strange as the keyboard angle is more horizontal than many users might like. Compared to a cheaper Microsoft Wired Keyboard 600 this is much less pleasing to type on, but is perfectly functional. Its double the price I paid for the Microsoft keyboard however. Ultimately I needed a keyboard to work in a dark studio where being able to quickly find keys in the dark is more important than a really great typing surface, and this certainly suits my purpose. However if you are looking primarily for a quality keyboard, you should probably look elsewhere.

Great value keyboard.
I really like this keyboard and it's great for the price. Large lettering and backlit for use in a dark room. Highly recommended.

A OK keyboard
I bought this keyboard in October 2020 so not far off two years ago. Served me well however a couple of problems coming to my notice. These are, the 'writing' on some of the keys I use the most are beginning to fade. I also play a lot of games, and one of the keys I use the most has started to stick. This has resulted in me placing an order yesterday for a new gaming keyboard (Logitech) with Amazon. I do not regret buying this keyboard. The brightness level was just about right for me. None adjustable - it is either on or off. As my computer is in my bedroom, I like the fact that the keyboard switches off with my PC closing down. Some people have reported in these reviews that their keyboard does not switch off when the computer powers down. I found that originally as well, then I discovered a setting in the BIOS that enabled the keyboard to power off with the computer. Part of me was tempted to give the keyboard 4 stars as it has served me well for two years, but I am not in a generous mood today, therefore it gets three off me.

Excellent Keyboard
This is an excellent basic keyboard for the price. The keys are not silent, nor are they noisy, but they are very easy to use and have a positive feel. The backlight is just the right level for me and the layout has no surprises or unexpected quirks. There are, however, a few things to be aware of: Firstly, if you use the scroll lock then you lose the backlight. This is explained in the advert description so should not be a surprise. Secondly, there are no adjustable feet at the back of the keyboard so it has been designed to be used on a flat surface and at a given angle. This shouldn't be a problem for most people and the keyboard can be raised if necessary by sticking rubber pads under the back edge. Thirdly, and the thing which caught me out, is the fact that unless you turn off the power to the computer when you shut down then the backlight will stay on. I think this is because when most computers shut down they leave the usb ports powered up. This also applies if connected via a powered usb hub of course. I like this keyboard a lot and recommend it to anyone who doesn't want or need 'bells and whistles' such as media control keys and colourfull strobe lighting.

Keyboard is okay. There were just a few things that disappointed me enough to return it.
Keyboard is okay. Nice white backlight. Easy to read keys. There were just a few things that disappointed me enough to return it. 1. The 'Enter' key shape. I knew this when buying it and didn't think it would be an issue. It was. 2. Backlight doesn't switch off in sleep mode. You can change your Bios settings to power down the USB ports but I preferred not to do that. 3. The connection between the lead and keyboard seemed a bit fragile. 4. The 'N' key stayed stuck down on first use but didn't thereafter. If you can overlook these things then the keyboard might suit you.
