Great for my personal safety
These glasses are fantastic! The video and audio are fine for me. I bought them for a very particular, possibly unusual reason. I was recently mugged in my neighborhood and was so startled that I was a very poor witness for the police. Plus the traffic in my neighborhood rarely obeys stop signs or other traffic rules. I love taking afternoon walks. So now I wear my IVue as an extra set of 'eyes' to monitor what happens around me. It holds about 3 hours of a charge and is more than adequate for a weeks worth of 30 minute daily walks. I initially had a hard time setting the current time in the iVue. If you follow the directions, the time.txt file doesn't set the internal time at all in the iVue. The time.txt file must be at the top of the root directory. I also found that after creating the file and putting the date and time in the format specified in the directions. Then I save and close the file and turn off the iVue. Now that time is fixed to the time I set. If wait to turn off the iVue, the time accuracy is off by how long I left the iVue on. Anyway that is how I was able to successfully set the internal time.UPDATE: 11/23/2015 - I originally bought this on February 15, 2015. I just noticed yesterday that the iVue could no longer be connected up with my Windows PC 64 bit. I had stopped doing recordings for about a month so I am not sure when this condition began. Previous to this, though, it had worked flawlessly and met my every expectation. I tried the reset button but every time I connected the iVue to my PC I got a pop up that the USB device did not connect and was possibly defective. I sent in a HELP ticket to Teton on a Sunday, yesterday. By the next day I had a response. I decided to call Teton and got great assistance from technical support. They concluded my iVue needs to be replaced and since it was still under the 1 year warranty they gave me an RMA number to return this one for a replacement. I, of course, haven't received the replacement yet, but for those reviewers who have been very harsh in their criticism of Teton, that has not been my experience at all.Update 2016-07-10 I hadn't been using my glasses since this February. I moved and have been spending most of my time getting used to my home and doing necessary repairs. Today I went out for a ride. I had charged the glasses for about an hour beforehand. I pressed the start button on the left side. Just as I expected I felt the vibrations signaling that the recording was beginning. I was only doing a test ride so after about 15 minutes I returned home and again pressed the button on the side of the glasses. I did get a vibration signaling that the recording had stopped. I then decided to do another ride and pressed the button to start the recording. BUT there was no vibration signaling the start of a recording. I checked the micro SD card and saw that indeed a recording had been made in my first attempt today. I went to the troubleshooting section of the manual. I did press the reset button. BUT pressing the start button to begin recording did not result in vibrations to signaling that the recording had started. My first repair was done with the original 1 year warranty from iVUE. The iVUE glasses that were sent to me to replace the ones I originally purchased are the ones that are not working now. At the time I bought my iVUE, I also purchased a 2 year warranty with Canopy, sold by Asurion LLC. I will update this review when I hear back from Canopy to see if the 2 year warranty will get me a new pair of glasses or simply refund my purchase price. (I will keep this as 5 start review for now because when the glasses work, they work exactly as I would expect them to. But it may be that lack of use has some destructive effect on the battery which has now twice resulted in them simply stopping working.)2016-07-11 I called Asurion and got someone immediately (very impressed). The agent confirmed that my 2 year warranty was still valid and gave me a claim number and an email with a USP return authorization. I will receive a refund of the price I originally paid for my iVUE. I have also called iVue to see if the 2nd glasses that they sent in Nov 2015 still has a one year warranty. If so I would like to get a replacement rather than a refund. I will update when I hear back from iVue on a replacement or not. But Asurion/Canopy warranty protection looks like a very good fall back if iVUE can't replace my 2nd pair of glasses.

Excited for these glasses but did not work
I received the glasses and tested taking videos for a couple of minutes (just walking around). Plugged into a PC and nothing but a charge indication happened. Tried a few more times, looking for USB devices, and after a several tries they came up as removable storage. Thought maybe a driver had been installed and everything would be OK. Nope. They only showed up on either computer (I tried two PC - XP and Win 8) once more after many many tries and now had failed to even charge (no light). I called tech support and explained it all and he said the battery connection might be broken. They said the repair department could look at them if I sent them in I would've thought a replacement was warranted since this was purchased as a NEW item but was non-functioning on arrival right out-of-the-box. So I said "I guess I don't really have a choice" and the tech said if I wanted that I could just keep them as a nice pair of sunglasses that the video does not work on and not return them(!) Really?!?!?!? I said forget it and I will just return them for a refund.Otherwise, the sunglasses looked and felt OK, but did not fit under my ski helmet. They might've fit using by bike helmet over the straps like my Oakley Thumps (mp3 glasses), but not sure about my somewhat tighter motorcycle helmet. They are pretty wide. The camera is fairly obvious once you get close up and could look dorky. The lens is fisheye so you are stuck with that aspect. Maybe great for sports, but may not combine will with regular aspect video from other cameras during editing. Sort of for action video only. Not necessarily bad but something to consider. I was going to use these to take video of my son and the fisheye effect might have made regular activity look funny. The cable is non-standard and thick since it has the video out included along with the data and power in a single cord/connector. I didn't like the idea of having to carry this unique cable everywhere (e.g. on vacation) just to be able to charge the device.Overall, I liked the idea of these glasses and might be willing to try them again sometime, but have since bought a cheaper pair (sold by HSN!) that work flawlessly, are narrower and fit under my ski helmet, and take impressive widescreen video while using a standard micro USB cable for charging and transfer. Battery life may or may not be as good (so far acceptable) but they are also lighter as well. They don't have the open frame design, however, so the iVues might be better of sports where fogging is an issue. So far it has not been a problem but haven't tried MTB riding yet with them.iVues may turn out to be a nice product for you but take your chances...

iVUE Crossfire 720p are not for quality video enthusiasts
Pros:1. The glasses are nice to wear as everyday sunglasses. Although a tad wide and a little bulky, they look nice.2. People do not notice the camera lens 90% of the time so it do a nice job concealing its functionality.3. Simple setup and simple functionality. It is also very simple to extract the video to a computer by either a cable or taking out the micro sd cardCons:1. My biggest dislike was the wide angle lens. This was annoying to see during playback of video material.2. The camera did not function well in moderate to low light settings3. The Micro SD card was hard to put in and take out if you have no nails or large fingers because it is recessed within the frame.4. There is an annoying large green light that continually flashes inside the frame when recording. This can be noticed by others. Conclusion:These glasses would work well for anyone who is buying them simply for functionality but not for quality. For example, if you wanted to use them as your regular pair of sunglasses and were involved in a car accident during the middle of the day, you could film these types of scenarios for legal purposes. This is not a camera to video beautiful scenery because of the wide angle lens. Rather, it is a video camera to gather information or data but only in well lit situations.
