But I still think it's a good product and would use it myself
I bought these as a gift for an elderly friend to help with her grocery bag handles. However, she doesn't use it because she forgets it. )-: But I still think it's a good product and would use it myself. It easily slips onto cloth bag handles and is a comfortable grip. The bags stay steady and don't slip around as some of the others look like they might do.

Small and uncomfortable design - Solves "purple fingers" at a price
I purchased the BaggyPal to alleviate the "purple finger" problem I was having using reusable bags. Since I live in CA, I'm basing my experience on my use of reusable bags, since grocery stores don't carry plastic bags here. First off is the actual size of the BaggyPal. It's quite small, which is great for portability, and if you have the hands of a small child. I by no means have large hands, yet I barely have enough space to properly grip the BaggyPal. Next is comfort/ ease of use. The groves, which I guess are supposed to accommodate finger placement are wildly inadequate and would be better served if it was simply smooth. Even my wife, who has much smaller hands than I do, has trouble properly gripping the BaggyPal. There is also a raised line of plastic (can't really call it a seam, but that's what it resembles), that is wonderfully placed to provide just the right amount of annoyment to your already uncomfortable grip. This could've easily been solved by a bit of extra smoothing, but I guess that's asking for too much. Regarding use, the hard plastic is as advertised (a hard, plastic). It's easily upheld the 20+ lbs. of groceries and I no longer have "purple fingers", just cramped fingers. In that aspect, the BaggyPal does what's advertised - eliminate the "purple fingers". Because it is hard plastic, it is not as easy as it should be to get a reusable bag into the slots. I'm aware that it was probably designed for plastic bags, but with the growth and use of reusable bags, it should be a bit easier to get the BaggyPal into place. It can handle more than one bag at once, but with large reusable bags, it gets rather uncomfortable walking. Overall thoughts: I had high hopes for the BaggyPal. Yes, it does eliminate my previous finger issues, but the poor design has me scratching my head. Perhaps the plastic market is on the upswing, and cost of materials meant they had to downsize the device. I'd love to know who the hand model was for this, or if they even used a template of an adult human hand. Plastic cuts, while not as heinous as paper cuts, still hurt, and a simple smoothing of this plastic would've gone a long way (and saved me a bunch of adhesive strips). The BaggyPal, a great idea poorly executed. Maybe it works better on regular plastic bags, but I'll never know. I can't recommend this item unless you really enjoy the idea of your hand cramping whenever you carry your bags with the additional option of cutting your hand on raised plastic that shouldn't be raised. And the shipping for this was laughable - I'm surprised they made it to me intact.

Hand Savers!
We are living in a 3rd floor apartment. Anyone who has to walk more than 20 feet on the same level while unloading their car of groceries, has tried to haul multiple bags and make less trips. Maybe even folks only walking 20 feet on the same level, lol! These handles really do help. You can put multiple bag handles into the groove and carry them together - limited only by how much weight you can carry and how bulky the group of bags is. Perhaps some strategic placing of bags is good so the chips or bread don't get crushed, but you get the idea. The handles keep the bags from cutting into your hands. Nice!I'm not usually much for gadgety things, but I really like them. I keep them in the console of my car so they're ready to go, and put them in my purse after use so I'll bring them back to the car.

Much Better Than any Other Bag Handle
I had bought few similar products at the store, influenced by the beauty and complexity. Then I saw this simple device at Amazon and I thought to give it a try. What an amazing pleasant surprise!!! This simple device works just great!!! Forget about all these other hook type bag handles.I think the main difference is that all other devices put the bags too close to the floor when carrying them; causing you to hit objects you normally wouldn't, including your own feet. With this simple miracle device the bags at the same distance from the floor as when your carry them with your hands, but without any pain. It is very strong, but yet flexible enough to accommodate in your hands.I love the simple smart way the bags are inserted and extracted. Everything about the description is right; I do recommend this product.

Highly recommended
Before owning this product, I had a problem of carrying plastic shopping bags containing two gallon jugs of water along with other groceries in each hand. I would carry them for about 10 city blocks. By the time I got home my fingers were either cramped or numb and always curved and unusable for a few minutes. They were also striped deep red and almost white from the restriction of blood flow. One time they stayed numb for 20 minutes.I went to amazon.com and did a search for bag handles.I almost bought the competition which was cheaper but in the reviews were said to have broken with the first use. I am delighted with this product. It is completely solved my problem.

best product ever for your hands
best product ever for your hands...I used to own a similar one but was in an accident years ago and while on a stretcher in ER , someone stole it off of my grocery bag and after years of recouping I have been searching for similar product to prevent trigger fingers on hand from plastic handles ripping into tendons! THIS IS IT!!!! I think it should be mandatory for people to use if we are stuck carrying bad handles on heavy plastic bags! Spare yourself the pain and treat yourself to something so inexpensive to prevent huge hospital bills and operations later!!! I am buying more of these to give out as gifty's to my neighbors and friends :-)

DO NOT BUY THESE
One of the handles has a defective "lump" in the hard plastic that I imagine is supposed to give the user room for their fingers. One handle is smooth and the other lumpy, causing a blister on the unlucky hand that is holding it. The edges are sharp and the entire item is RIGID plastic, which may be strong, but is so hard as to be uncomfortable when you are carrying plastic grocery bags.I would love to return them for a refund, but I don't know yet if that's possible.I would advise anyone who is considering these handles: DO NOT BUY THEM!
