Shipment begins in the Fall when the weather has cooled down and the trees become dormant. Trees and plants are shipped as bareroot, checked, and well packed. We typically ship on Mondays and Tuesdays. Over the years, we have had very good success shipping trees and plants, but understand that once out of our care, we can not assure it will grow or perform in any manner. You should read our policies before you buy. If you are in the northern half of the country, consider planting now. The plants will be dormant soon, and they will be packed as bare root. We best ship these when they are dormant, but order now. Currently about 16+ inches... hefty and nice. The Poplar is widely planted across the country. A very fast growing broadleaf planted in the landscape design for lines and privacy screens, windbreaks as well. Works great when plant with evergreen trees like the pines, spruces, or Douglas-Fir. Good for most soils, full sun is best, moderate watering, plant in USDA Plant Zones 3 to 10. Slow growth as it gets established, but you should see a solid green wall within a few years.
