Pass these by
These really are inadequate for the task. They are to weak to drive into the ground or firmly hold a drip irrigation hose. Looking for a satisfactory solution. Can’t suggest anything that these would be good for.

It works
These were the only option for my 3/8" tubing. A good squeeze with vice-grips was all that was needed to close the gap. They work excellent, sturdy enough to poke through the flower bed and i'm confident they will last many seasons. Worked well for my setup with a thicker tube.

Not for hard ground.
Spikes are ok if you have soft ground, otherwise pre-drill a hole before you try pushing them in. I broke/bent 3 before I was able to get 2 in the ground. I wontbuy again.

THEY WORK!!!
Do what i need them to do...hold home made 5 dripper drip rings up off of the soil. Did have one break but it was my fault.

Packed clay soil will break them
Careful, make sure your ground is soft! I broke three by trying to hammer them into hardened dirt. I had to till the soil with a shovel and a rake before using these to prevent breakage.

Break easy
The media could not be loaded. I put these in on a 50° day and I didn't hit them hard at all. Half of them broke. If you hit the spike anywhere other than on top of the post it will break.

Works with 1/2 inch, wont hold 1/4 inch
Works really well to hold the 1/2 tubing I. Place and can get a nice height above the soil. Works poorly with your 1/4 inch tubing. Their are 2 slots above the spike which appears like it is meant for the 1/4 inch tubing. But do not bother, it will not stay in place.
