No issues with kinking and it rolls up well. I ordered the 40ft hose for my 35 ft pool. My skimmer is closer to one end of the pool so I went back and forth between a 36' or the 40' length. This was at least partially my fault as the length of hose is just barely long enough to reach the extremes of the pool from the skimmer I typically use. As a result I was likely stressing the connection a little too much. However I was able to repair the connection fairly easily removing the existing clear glue/sealing gasket and affixing the hose to the socket with JB-Weld. I'm not going to deduct any stars from the score though since there is likely some user error to blame for the failure.Does what you would expect. Used for about 1/2 a season now and is still looking good as new.
