Do not purchase
This magnet on one side released at 230 lbs. the other side released at 170lbs. I Changed eye inlet to the face position and it released at 247lbs. I used my deer scale to register the pulling force on a steel 2” thick road/construction plate. The steel slab was smooth and free of debris and the magnet was brand new out of the package. In each test I pulled straight up with consistent force, making sure not to snap or jerk it. My deer scale has a threshold slide to record the weight. THIS IS STRAIGHT UP FALSE ADVERTISING. * another indicator that this company is aware that their magnet isn’t capable of what they advertise is that the “supplied”Carabiner is only rated at 400lbs.

Great Replacement for a Single Side Magnet

The magnet is a pretty nice size and weight, really good power and it seems pretty durable at the moment but I've only had it a month but seems to be holding up nicely.I have pulled lots of items up from rivers and it is very strong and holds its grip really well. I can recommend this magnet to anyone starting magnet fishing and I guarantee you will not be disappointed with it. My boy wants one for his birthday and I will be buying this very same item for him.I would recommend this to anyone serious about magnet fishing, you need this in their lives.Overall i'm very pleased with this product and would highly recommend it.

Make sure you tie the end to something before you throw it in
I was watching magnet fishing on YouTube so I decided to try it and now I am hooked this product works very very well for a beginner I love fishing for fish but the license are ridiculously high so magnet fishing is for me so go get yours and have fun I would buy again

Item cane as described, the only so so part were the gloves, they’re not heavy duty but they are a free bonus so not really a detractor. They have amazing customer service too, don’t hesitate to reach out to them for anything, so friendly and prompt!

Amazing power, very pleased!
This is an amazing magnet! I to at first thought it was quite weak as I was picking washers off it and there was hardly any pull. So I tried it on my gun safe. For the life of me, tyring to pull it staight off it would not budge. Two feet on the door, red faced, I was sure it was going to be a new decoration to my safe. Sure there might be a bad one here or there but not the one I got. Strong as heck and im very impressed with the power and quality of this magnet. Great buy, and watch your fingers, it will bite you! Happy fishing...

Strong magnet but not too hard to release
Although I have not had the chance to go fishing yet I do know this magnet is strong enough to pull my refrigerator across my kitchen! That is probably strong enough for anything I would expect to find anyway. The rope isn't really alone enough so I will have to get another but it is what it is.

Good and strong
I keep fumbling screws and bolts into the lake while helping my dad adjust his dock. I would hate to find one with a barefoot so I ordered this. Really powerful magnet. The gloves that come with it are rubber dipped and my hands are usually a glove small size and they fit just a little loose.
