Hisome Mini Air Cooler, 3 in 1 Portable Mini Air Condition, Humidifier Fan & Purifier with 3 Adjustable Speeds, Personal Space Air Cooler for Home and Office

I needed a desktop fan and decided to go with this BASEIN Mini Air Cooler due to its multifunction features and portability. I love the fact you can pour water in from the top into the reservoir rather than using some tray slot like others use, this is by far more practical. The Mini Cooler has 3 fan speeds and operates via USB so you can use it with your computer like me. Also the BASEIN Mini Cooler has a filter which is handy in collecting dust and other particulates in your space, keeping your air fresh and clean!

I was not impressed with this item at all. I should have known it was too good to be true. I understand what is supposed to happen, but the small noisy fan outweighs the benefit of blowing over ice water (which by the way it only has a tiny compartment for) and any kind of filter it might have.I compared it to my numerous small usb desk fans and even the smallest one arguably made me feel cooler and was quieter than this thing. If this was £5 it might be worth getting but at the prices listed you are far better off finding a decent small fan

NB This is not an air conditioning unit. If you want an air conditioned room then spend 200/300 quid!This cooling fan is effective at night or at the office. You will feel the benefit if it's no further than 1 metre away. I recommend using ice.All fans will make noise: the higher the setting the louder the noise. However this fan isn't over bearing, you soon adjust to it (and I'm a relatively light sleeper)I love the design. It's well made and stylish compared to many other similar priced models out there.

Firstly this is described as a BASEIN Mini Air Cooler and when it arrived it was a HISOME Table Cooling Fan! Looked similar to the picture however. Anyway I followed the instructions provided and found it to be fine as a small personal cooler - i.e. when sitting close to it - but it doesn't cool the whole room. It's very simple to use, easy to carry and works okay. It's good for putting on a bedside table or a desk. It's best to use ice cold water and small pieces of ice cubes to get the best results. HERE IS THE BIGGEST BUGBEAR however. It states in the instructions that the filter should be changed regularly - every couple of months - but where to get the filters?! So I emailed direct to HISOME and they replied saying they don't supply them!! They suggested trying to clean the filter - which I would think would be impossible as it has lots of small holes and it feels like paper - or go to a local store or try Amazon!!! I looked on Amazon and couldn't find the filters and can't think what local store would stock these specific filters. I wrote back to them stating this! Seemingly therefore this unit will be useless as a cooler once the filter needs replacing. Couldn't recommend it to anyone on that basis - and therefore not value for money.

This is a step up from a rotating fan. Remove the top of this and add water first, there's no max height marker as you can see the level inside. After a little absorbtion the fan will shoot out cooled air which uses less electricity than an Air Conditioner and has better cooling results than a fan and smaller than both of them.This is said to cool 2m square so I plan to have it in my sons room on hot days at the end of his bed. It uses a micro USB phone charger for power so no problem getting it setup. Great unit and a few of these could solve any dry, hot & humid or toasty days and nights we might have coming.

I read many reviews on this product before buying and although many said it helped cool down their rooms, I did not experience this. In fact, I found it to be a glorified fan. It barely out puts the water and the power of it is poor. You can't leave it on constantly, as it auto shuts off after 3 hrs. Even putting ice cubes or cold water in it doesn't change the air temp. In my eyes, it's a waste of money unless you're looking for a desk fan.

Sadly this did not do what was intended..... Cool our room!!! Despite filling with ice & chilled fridge water the room temperature did not lower at all. Very disappointed as had high hopes of this machine. It looks nice good design but sadly being returned.

It doesn't work well at all, hardly cools anything down and was a waste of my time, just buy a fan... It may blow warm air in the summer but it cools you down a hell of a lot more than this useless little thing.
