It's £100 - it's alright
Long story short, my Kas booklet maker was (is) awaiting repair. Had a job of 400 2 sheet programmes to do so bought this just to get me through the job. Anyway, trick is throw the supplied staples away they're too thick. Just use bog standard 26/6 staples. The mechanism does frequently jam. It ain't perfect - it's £100. Just open up the staple holder, there may be one stuck at the back, flick it out, start again. Pre-fold booklets first. It does require a steady hand using a consistent medium pressure on the handle. It doesn't like getting to the end of a staple block, nor stacking bits of blocks. It also looks, first time you use it, like it mullers the area around the staple, like it staples too hard, but re-folding the booklets in batches seems to get rid of these little dimples. Good for a print room back up or for associations/clubs that would only do 100 or so a week/month. Small so easily storable. Worried that spare parts probably don't exist, but ask me that in a years time!

Very good indeed, if a little expensive.
I needed this to produce A5 booklets - up to 60/70 at a time. So an automated stapler would be overkill.I thought that the setup instructions could have been better. And larger!!But it's a solid piece of kit and SO much better than those simply use a regular desk stapler welded on to some bent metal frame. It requires a consistent, steady pressure on the lever - when you start getting 'lazy' after reaching 30 or so, you can get an issue.I think that this is overpriced, but it is good.

Probably okay, but ...
This is not a terrible saddle'flat stapler, but there are issues that are worth considering since it is not cheap. I staples a 26 page document, flat, so it is well within the 60 sheet capacity advertised and found the following issue; 1) it struggled to staple this quantity of paper and the staples supplied were not able to penetrate and bend round the document 2) the staples supplied are not really very good causing the stapler to jam quite frequently, even on documents with less that 28 pages. There is no way that this will staple 60 sheets as advertised unless they are spectacularly this stock. The stapler struggled, again, on folded stock, well within advertised limits - 30 pages. I swapped out the supplied staples and got better results using conventional staples that are a bit thinner. Maybe I have got a bad sample, but I imagine that this is pretty much par for the course: I have a fantastic Bostich stapler that works beautifully, but is a bit small for A3 stapling, hence my purchase of this one. However, I do think that can get it working to a standard by ditching the staples supplied and using conventional 26/6 staples and lowering my expectations.

Ok as long as your max size is an A5 booklet
A4 is a real pain as the trim edge of the booklet doesn't fit.
