This is a very compact gimbal which fits my actioncam well. The mount is secure without being bulky. It's easy to mount and dismount the camera. This is useful as I don't always leave it mounted to the gimbal especially when I want to mount it directly on me. Using gloves isn't a problem even with the thumbscrews to tighten and loosen. I think the mount is one of the more critical components in a good design. A universal mount that can accommodate a cellphone or mirrorless camera would take a longer to install and uninstall. This makes you not want to use it especially when on the go.The motors are strong and smooth. It reacts quite quickly and when recording there's no perceptible motor noise. The 12 hour battery life seems unbelievable. I would never push the limits to any electronic devices to their stated capacity though but that's just me. I'm glad its long lasting but I'll be charging it after every use regardless. Ultimately though what matters is the performance. I see no difference between this and my $350 gimbal meant to hold my mirrorless DSLR. In fact, I prefer this one due to the smaller size and lighter weight. There's no need to calibrate or balance this as it's only made for actioncams.The build quality is fairly good without any issues. I appreciate the convenient carrying case. For the money it's well worth the price.

It's nice when it works, but it glitches out and faces the camera the wrong way frequently. Sometimes it'll get stuck upside or backwards or just turn the wrong way.Also disappointed that the button that looks like a 'record' button doesn't actually turn on my GoPro, just the stabilizer itself, so it's really awkward to try and turn the GoPro on while seated in this thing. I know they did advertise this as having that feature, but it would have been nice.Also this obstructs the mic on the GoPro making it just about useless.Otherwise, this thing has a nice feel and comes with a nice carrying case. The various mode options are good. The joystick is nice.

Bought this for my GoPro Hero 4. The installation is super easy, it's just like installing your camera to a tripod. It is really lightweight even after having a rechargeable battery in it. It feels sturdy and the controls/joystick are well in reach, so the recording is really convenient and stable. The stick extends as well, which is really cool to take video at several different angles. The battery goes long after one recharge. Really enjoying using this and my video recordings are at a different level now. Absolutely loved it and would recommend this to all.

First unit did was not fully functional and returned for replacement. Second unit appears to work as described, and provides very stable results on my Akaso 7000 pro action camera when filming while walking. However, I did have problems with connecting via bluetooth. There are several apps for iphone (7) but only one actually works, I ended up using the app "hohem" whereas any other did not connect. Over the next few weeks I will be making extensive use of this device and intend updating this review based on the experience. The replacement unit performed flawlessly in the field, I used it to film a back country Jeep tour with great success the video stability is first class. The results have to be seen to be believed, overall I'm very impressed with the improvement in video quality when considering the rough terrain we covered.

I’m not sure if I have a defective gimbal? Or if there all like this but according to the reviews, I don’t think they all are. I received this gimbal and out of the box it was insanely off center. I went through about 10 different sets of calibration and even updated the firmware hoping to get it on center, but nope.It shoots about 4 inches up when it’s set and tilts to the left, even after using the pitch degree options on the app, still shoots high and tilted.If they won’t replace it, I’ll be returning it as it’s completely unusable in its current state! They say they come calibrated for GoPro’s and mine is the exception.We’ll update after I see how customer support handles this, but seeing as it’s “Hohem” I’m sure there customer support is non-existent

The media could not be loaded.  This Is a great Gimbal for those times you need it when it’s raining or hiking thru a trail near waterfalls. Very simple to set up and use. I have an off brand action camera which had a little difficulty fitting with the included bracket for mounting to the gimbal. I would recommend the company offer multiple mounting brackets to help fit a variety of your action cameras, this is the only reason I took off one star. However if you are using the most common action cameras this will be an awesome addition to your photography equipment.The packaging is very professional and clean, no chance of damage upon delivery.Accessories: This comes with the needed charger, tripod, and a sleek little case to hold it all.The directions are clear and easy to understand. I own 3 Gimbals and this one has the smoothest hand controls of all of them. The angle the Gimbal is placed at makes it simple to capture what you want to film. (Just point and shoot)Battery life: This gimbal seems to last forever, the battery life is as advertised! Kid friendly as well. My daughter has used it to film her and her gymnastic teammates with no issues.Overall opinion: for the price this is a great product and worth every penny!

I love this inexpensive gimbal product. I took this to the beach and was able to create a nice cinematic video using this. The stabilization is very smooth. It does take time to get used to working it, but once you figure it out it's very simple to use. I will continue using this when we go on vacations and whenever making YouTube videos.

This is not my first gimble, and I am above a novice when it comes to electronics. The iSteadyPro2 seemed to be the best bang for the buck. However, there are no instructions on how to get started, how to calibrate or set up the device. I tried it with my OSMO Action, but it would never balance. The ap is useless on Android.

Elle dure plus longtemps et peut charger la caméra vidéo tout en enregistrant. Le stabilisateur est bien avancé avec un calibrage à 6 côtés. The media could not be loaded.  I love the way it comes with cable to plug my GoPro directly into the back of the gimbal, it doesn't charge the camera but it powers it for me through out the day doing video in London. I now can leave my batteries and charger at home and not worry about running out of power.I did some running and fast walking down the stairs etc which is really demanding of any gimbal and the iSteady did a great job at stabilizing the footage. Mounting the camera is simple with 2 small threaded screws to adjust tension of the clamp. I wish the screw heads are bigger as it is really difficult to tighten or undo the screws.The app add another cool feature which I tested out, it does motion lap by taking the gimbal position as key frames. You set the time duration and it will move through the keyframe one by one until the end. I would live to have more control over the time laps speed between keyframe which is not available.I have so much fun with it which drives me to do even more outdoor work from now on

I received this for Christmas, i had watched alot of reviews and it seemed good, BUT on the first use of it i noticed multiple micro jerk movements when trying to move slowly , i tried rebalancing camera but it would still happen , it also would not turn on a couple of times which is very strange, personally i would recommend avoiding this gimbal, i may have just been unlucky, i have asked for a refund, i am so disappointed i wanted this so much for Christmas (if Hohem would like to send me one free to ease my heartbreak i will accept and retry)

One issue I am experiencing is that it swictjes itself off even when I am taking video and it has happened few times now. The result is such that video becomes unusable as it goes to power off position.

The media could not be loaded.  Sono sempre stato curioso di provare un gimbal. Non credevo che un suo utilizzo potesse migliorare così tanto una ripresa video di una action cam. Io l'ho provata con una action cam di medio livello con stabilizzazione attiva e i risultati sono sorprendenti. Io consiglio nel caso si disponga di un gimbal come questo di disattivare la stabilizzazione poiché la action cam con la stabilizzazione attiva tende a croppare l'immagine oltre a consumare più batteria. Nella confezione sono presenti un comodo astuccio rigido con all'interno il gimbal, un comodo trepiedi, due cavetti usb tipo c - micro usb e uno micro usb - micro usb ( per caricare la cam utilizzando la batteria del gimbal ) e il cavo di ricarica del gimbal. Costruito in maniera ineccepibile, Il manico nella parte sottostante ha un rivestimento in gomma che migliora di molto il grip anche a mano sudata. Ha una consolle centrale con un pulsante attraverso il quale si scelgono le 4 modalità di ripresa, una levetta per inclinare lateralmente di +/- 30° la cam, un pulsante accensione del gimbal e il fondamentale e comodissimo joy per muovere la cam. Nella parte frontale è presente un grilletto che se mantenuto premuto attiva la modalità sport (movimenti del gimbal più reattivi in modo da riprendere oggetti in movimento) se premuto due volte riporta la cam in posizione frontale. Le cose più belle che questo gimbal ti permette di fare sono la inseption mode ( rotazione di 360° su aree orizzontale della cam ) e il motionlapse. Nelle riprese, come si vede nel video, sono fatte in modo da farvi vedere come scendendo le scale l'immagine non tremi minimamente e rimanga sempre fluida. Nella ripresa ho utilizzato la modalità all-follow, dove la cam asseconda tutti i movimenti imposti dal nostro movimento. Sul manico, nelle parti laterali, sono presenti da una parte una serie di led verticali con luce verde che indicano la carica della batteria del gimbal ( io l'ho utilizzato più di 9 ore e sono ancora a 2 tacche su 5) e dall'altra una foro filettato dove é possibile inserire gli accessori come il porta smartphone per avere grazie alla app Hohem gimbal uno schermo più grande dove poter vedere l'inquadratura. In generale credo che questo gimbal sia davvero un ottimo acquisto. Vale tutti i soldi che ho speso, forse anche di più.
