I didn't break any magnets but the brackets housing the magnets broke quite easily when I screwed them on. I left the magnet with the cracked bracket installed and after a couple of months it still works good. I am using the magnet to hold the door to my chicken coop open while I am in and out of there tending my livestock. ( I keep all my feed in the coop).
