Best ink for Canon printers
It's expensive compared to third-party inks, but if you have a good canon photo printer, this is the best ink to use. I've used third-party inks, and they are fine for most applications, but if you want to print vibrant photos, they don't compare. You definitely can find decent photo papers that are other than canon, but it's probably best to stick with their ink.

Get these Genuine Canon Inks
I've tried some no-name "compatible" inks in various printers over the years with mixed results. They have never performed like the OEM inks whether Canon, Epson, or HP. These Canon CLI-42 Genuine inks are for the Canon Pro-100 printer and frankly speaking, I am afraid of using anything but these OEM. My results have always been outstanding so why, I ask myself, should I ever take a chance on anything else?

Good but expensive
Perfect prints every time in my Pixma Pro-100, but way too expensive. They appear to have a lot of ink left when the printer says they are out, so I use them for several more prints beyond that. I have spent way more on ink than I did the printer!

The best ink for Canon printers is Canon ink.
I only buy genuine canon ink. It's more expensive but I've never had any problems or the issues I read about with the replacement inks. That's important to me.

My photos print so much better with the Canon cartridges.

We never use anything but genuine Canon ink in our Canon printer.

As advertised, original Canon ink for my classic printer. Still date valid (older cartridges can seize up) and reasonably priced.

Price point could be better. It is very expensive but quality of prints is uncompromised!! If you value your expensive printer put these in BUT be aware, you cannot use these without thinking about what you are printing. Print the best and forget the rest!!
