Only lasts 6-8 months
>>Update 9/1/15: replacement footswitch also worked ok for 8 months, now it freezes and crashes my PC when it's plugged in. Manufacturer says it's been too long, not our problem anymore. Used my Squaretrade warrantee, and they're sending me a refund, which I'll use to get a better one from a different company. So, if you only want a footswitch with a 6-8 month lifespan, this is the one to get. Otherwise, don't bother with this one. <<I needed a multi-pedal footswitch to control an image capture app on my PC. This one is a mixed bag; as others have said, it is lightweight but has rubber/plastic feet that stay reasonably put on my office carpet. Setup isn't difficult, though the setup app is translated from Chinese so takes a while to figure out. Once it's set up, it works fine. (Little hint: I work in a darkened room, so I put a yellow round sticker on each pedal so I can see where I'm pressing) My gripe is that the left pedal stopped working after 8 months and maybe 25 presses; other two pedals still working fine even though they're much more frequently used. Seller says it's beyond 6 months old so no warrantee coverage. I need the third pedal so I ordered another, but for less than $2 I got the Square Trade extended warrantee just in case. Hope this one lasts longer.

Does what it says
Everything works just like it is advertised. It's easy to set up and easy to use. My only dislike is that it is lightweight and the base is narrow so it tends to slide around some. If it had a heavier and or wider base I would have given it 5 stars.

I get tired of moving my hand on the keyboard and/or moving the mouse between computers (using Synergy) and pressing certain keys, so the foot pedals are useful. I have 2 single foot pedals and 2 triple foot pedals - on different computers, not the same computer. Devices that would read my mind or my eyes would be more useful, but I have not yet found any of those to be available for general use.The web site says it only supports Windows, but the key presses are stored in the device itself, so I have programmed the device in Windows (using the GUI application from their web site) and then connected the device to a Linux machine and the device then sends the programmed keystrokes. In case it matters, each device takes one USB port, so three single foot pedals take 3 USB ports while a triple foot pedal takes 1 USB part. My high-powered ASUS laptop only allows 15 USB port connections (a hub counts as a connection) so this can make a difference. The foot pedals tend to move around on the floor so I added some rubber feet that makes them slide less. The plastic is of sufficient strength to last for a while - it only needs to support compression forces on a floor, not bending forces.
