Sturdy material and better than I thought - Update 4/22/26: 5 years later and I have consistently stored my glove in this wrap after playing catch with my kids. My youngest kids are now all in with softball and baseball, so I’m outside every day with them doing catch. If "flat" means soft or floppy, then this will not help that. **Q: does this item help break in a new glove?** A: It helps to keep the form of the ball when not in use. Break in, I believe, comes from use of the glove. This just prevents it from getting that nasty flat fold. **Q: Should I store the glove wrapped? Or just wrap during the break-in period?** A: I leave mine wrapped. Not as tight as I would for break-in but wrapped (with ball in pocket) **Q: Is the included wiggle ball an 11" or 12"?** A: I believe 12". Mine's currently being shipped. With some good glove oil and proper placement of the plastic ball your gloves will stay in the perfect shape. So much better than a rubber band which will stretch out and rot after time. I coach little league and encourage my players to use them as most people just throw their gloves down and they go flat or get pressed flat in a bag and the pocket is not in the right place.
