Our frames are aluminium and are welded. As a part of this process, very occasionally the welder can deposit a tiny fleck of iron which may rust. This can be visible with the white trays. We have sold thousands of white trays and less than 5 have had this happen which is out of our control. The rust can be cleaned off and does it has no effect on the integrity of the structure and usage of the tray. I hope that helps!
