Bagibobs Premium Reusable Produce Bags - Washable Set of 5 - Save the Planet

Glad I got these, I was super sick of using disposable produce bags. It just didn't make any sense that I was using reusable grocery bags but using disposable produce bags. These bags are big - they can definitely hold a big head of romaine lettuce. Good quality, appears very strong. I like that they cinch close with a drawstring. Love that they're machine washable.I also got the Flip & Tumble produce bags to compare. The Flip & Tumble produce bags are a bit smaller than the Bagibobs (maybe 1-1.5 inches smaller) but the Flip & Tumble produce bags can still hold a lot. The Flip & Tumble produce bags are softer than the Bagibobs. I use both without a preference - both are great bags, it's fine to go with either brand.

I love the idea of saving plastic and bringing your own bags to the store. These bags are bigger than you'd think they'd be! You can probably fit all your produce in one bag from the store. At checkout, I realized that they can't scan the fruit stickers through the bags like they do with the clear plastic ones, so it makes it more inconvenient for the cashier. Fruits and veggies are also paid for by weight, and while these bags aren't heavy at all, they do weigh slightly more than the clear plastics ones at the stores. I suppose that might only cost you a cent or two extra. Great idea - but a couple of idea flaws.

Stitching on one of the bags was sewn across the drawstring - meaning the bag was sewn open permanently. I had to pick the stitches out so the string could be pulled closed.Fabric is way too stiff. These bags are impossible to stuff into a purse or pants-pocket due to their bulky, crunchy texture and are difficult to fully close due to the fabric refusing to scrunch closed at the top when the drawstring is pulled. I had a different purpose for these reusable bags and they were perfect for my intended use. Instead of using these as produce bags, I wanted to use them to sort out my gear and clothing for my family camping trip. So things like snacks, batteries, clothing, or whatever were sorted into a Bagibob which made it easy to pull out the grouped item(s) in my backpack. Unlike some of the other produce bags, these have a cord lock which was great to keep some of the smaller items from falling out and it was quicker for me to open and close than a Ziploc bag. If the Bagibobs got dirty, then I just threw it in the laundry. I liked these bags so much that I bought a second set.

I love these bags. I use them when going to the grocery store or storing onions and shallots from my garden. They are well made and versatile. I can see brining these on trips for various uses,

I love how sturdy and well made they are. The bags are quite large and I like that I can store the produce in the fridge and know that they won't suffocate/retain too much moisture because of the mesh lining. I haven't tried putting sweet potatoes in them yet... those usually poke holes in the plastic bags, so placing them in my cart in a pile has been my habit. I may get another set because those mesh bags can be used for much more besides holding produce.

Excellent just what I was looking for for produce. Great quality a variety and a fool proof drawstring top. Easy to wash if need be voila! Great for those who care about their ecological footprint and want to lead a greener life..

i suppose it helps with product longevity but if you forget and it decays, the stain in it doesn't wash out
