Egg Incubator

You MUST run it for a day with an accurate thermometer in it before putting any eggs in.
I bought this for cheap more out of curiosity than anything. Every year when I get nearly done hatching with the big Sportsman incubators, I usually have a few eggs left for another week or two that I have to finish. And it's probably June by then and I don't want the heat in the house from a big incubator. So when this was available for about as much money as it's really worth , and I had a weak moment and sent for it.The first eggs in started to develop but gradually gave out over time. At that point I smartened up and put a thermometer in there and found out it was running 4ºC lower than it should. I've now calibrated it and put in a few bantam cross eggs to try it out, and they seem to be developing normally.I would NEVER put any really valuable eggs in it, but if you are just playing around with some eggs out of your own birds, then it's something to try.Pretty sure it isn't going to hold up very long, it's just that kind of quality. But when it's calibrated and it's working, it actually is doing the job if what I'm seeing when candling continues.

For the price, not bad. But still some issues.
While the design is nice, the fan has gone from nearly silent to making noise and the screws are starting to rust. It hasn't been a whole week yet.

Poor design. Quit working after 2 wks.
Poor design. High humidity and water will get in fan and the fan quit working after 2 wks. Nothing like having to explain to your daughter why all the eggs quit developing. They should Design it with a sponge along the outside tray to hold the water in place and make the dome a little larger to hold duck eggs without slanting inward.

Killed our eggs after two weeks
So disappointing... after reading the reviews, my husband got me this incubator after several mishaps with broody hens not hatching out their clutch. At 2 weeks in, all the eggs were developing beautiful chicks and then, of course, the heating element died and all of those eggs died with it. Sub-par product, waste of time and a HUGE disappointment. We got our money back for the incubator, but won’t get anything back for the eggs.

useless
I followed all instructions and nothing happened. One egg cracked and it was spoiled. Also it barely fit 6 medium chicken eggs. it's good for no more than 3 eggs touching the cover. The temperature is wrong. It's too low. The humidity is too high - the eggs were always wet. I had pretty good success with the heating lamp. Going back to lamp. Sorry!

Watch YouTube videos before use.
For the price it works but the instructions are terrible, specially if you're a bigger like I was. YouTube videos helped a lot more than the instructions that come with it.

Do not buy!!
Ignored the reviews because I thought it would be fun for my kids to see the incubation process. The biggest waste of money.
