Keeps dropping connection
It will work, for a time. After about 1-2 minutes the connectivity light turns red and will not connect again until I power cycle the hub. I wanted to use this for a usb printer that sits on the other side of a small room. It is less that 10 feet away. After a power cycle, I can print a single document and can see the printer status. For that moment, it does everything as advertised. I got the latest drivers but that didn't change anything. At this point, I would not recommend this product.

Cables Unlimited USB Wireless Dongle Set for Printing
Units arrived on time. Installation was simple (if you follow the instructions). Satisfied my problem of a printer in one room and computer in another without running wires everywhere. One Note: Devices run hot so make sure to have them in a well ventillated space.

Worked for a month then it stopped
Had it connected with an external hard drive. After a month of use it would not connect. Had to disconnect it from the usb port and reconnect each time. Afterwards it connected for a few minutes then it would disconnect again. Not worth it.

Not a bad option if your looking for a wireless usb setup
Not a bad option if your looking for a wireless usb setup, but the main problem is that it seems to be the ONLY option. I couldn't find any other wireless USB devices without using a network and router. The transfer rate is not extremely fast, but gets the job done for transferring music to my computer from my external hard drive. The main issue I have had is the syncing doesn't always work and from time to time throws my computer, which is running Windows XP, into the fatal blue screen error. I am still trying to find some updated drivers that will fix this. Also, both of dongles get VERY hot physically; I unplug them both when I am not using them, just to be safe.Overall the product gets the job done, so that I don't have to plug in a cord from across my room. Not sure if I would buy this product again.

Wireless USB is cool
I am planning to use these to connect my Canon dSLR camera to my PC wirelessly. To that end I am nearly finished modifying the components to make it run off batteries. However in the interest of this review I have to say that right now these wireless USB adapters work great running off standard wall current. I have a powered USB hub right now supplying power to the 'device' adapter as well as linking to a USB hard drive, USB thumb drive and my Canon XSi. I can access all of them just as if they were connected via a normal USB cable. I can run the Canon EOS Utility and even get Live view. I can take pictures with the camera and see them pop up in lightroom a second or so later as well, just as if I were connected via normal wired USB.These do not do web cams, microphones, etc but they do work with hard drives and apparently at least Canon dSLRs. I cannot confirm if they work on other brands, but would expect them to. I have tested throughput of at least 12MB over the wireless link. That is 96Megabits for those of you who want it in networking speeds. That is about the speed of USB 1.0 though which may be a limit of either my laptop, my hard drive or the wireless adapters. The camera hits about the same speed, a little less. Most hard drives don't transfer sustained data much faster than that normally, especially not 5400rpm laptop drives. But the good news is that it all works, just as advertised. though I have only been using these for about a day now, they seem to be working very very well, as least as well as any USB cable ever did and that is all we can ask of them.

Buyer Beware -- Not wireless
Beware, as they do not tell you that in order to connect the device dongle to whatever remote device you want to use you will have to use the included docking station and power supply. The docking station must then be connected to the device using a USB cable (not included) In addition, you'll have to have someplace to sit the docking station and you will have to have a power outlet near the docking station. How all this qualifies as "wireless" is beyond me. It may not be "useless," but if you're banking on a wireless setup that involves just plugging one dongle into your computer and the other dongle into your device, then you, like me, will be disappointed.

Fantastic product
I bought this to connect my iPod docking station which is currently sitting on top of my Hi-fi stack. Syncing with the PC is a real pain as it involved extracting the fiddly cable from the mess of wires that develops at the back of the stereo every time.Set-up works great and driver installation is a doddle. For me it works great at a range of 10ft or so.Would recommend - thinking about getting one for my printer.

Works, but slow and inconsistent
I tried to connect a usb hub 10 feet away from the computer on my unique setup:[...]It works, but the speed is slow. Trackball pointer is choppy (from slow transmit).I tend to lose connection every now and then (changing channels does not work). The software has a transmit speed drop down box but i cant change it to max because that control is disabled. Also the transmitter gets pretty toasty. Not very energy efficient!
