CentroBulb Duster with 12 inch Extension This is our Centro 14 oz Bulb Pest Control Duster w/12" Extension, which is just like the Centro 14 oz but has a 12 inch extension and a curved tip included. This unit features a different interior design which does a great job of keeping the dust flowing well regardless of how you tilt the bulb when dusting. This unit is excellent for most any application and the extension can be removed from the duster if it is not needed.

An invaluable weapon in a war against wood bees
Why do I hate wood bees? Well, I don't really have any inate hatred of wood bees, however when they are making their nests in the wood inside my barn then I have to take issue with their choice of residence. Why are all the trees in the world not enough for them? And honestly, I really wouldn't mind sharing my barns with them if the building of their homes did not cause structural damage to the homes of my cows and horses. But since it does, I have no choice but to choose my livestock over them. Hence the declaration of war...So having discovered that they are susceptible to the poison found in Sevin Dust, I set out on my mission to destroy them. The only problem, their nests go straight up into the board from the bottom and Sevin Dust is made to be sprinkled. Having failed in my efforts to defy gravity and sprinkle the powder upwards, I began my quest for a way to pouf the powder upwards into the holes. Some creative Google searching found the CentroBulb Duster with 12-inch Extension. Sounded like exactly what I needed.Upon arrival, I couldn't wait to try it out so I quickly read the instructions (which you can do quickly because the CentroBulb duster is extremely easy to use) and headed to the barn.A few test puffs confirmed that the Sevin Dust was being expelled upwards so that getting it up into the wood bee nests would at long last be possible. This product works as promised, seems to be of high quality materials, and is easy to use. It even comes with a rubber cover to put over the tip of the extension opening when not in use to keep moisture from getting into it to ruin the dust inside. If the powder seems to not be coming out as much as desired, turning the duster over and back seems to take care of the problem. That is the only issue I had - after using it for a while it was necessary to turn it upside down and back right side up to get the powder flowing freely again.I have only had it a month so I can't speak for its durability but it seems to be well made of heave duty materials. If you have a need to spray powder upwards I highly recommend the CentroBulb Duster!

rubber bulb separated from the insert that the top screws into so it would leak at the top when I used it. They wanted me to return it but somehow sending something that has white powder in it from the insecticide through the US mail didn't seem like a good idea so I just added a hose clamp to it. It isn't pretty but at least I got it to stop leaking.I would not buy this again.

Very basic; very expensive; very effective
This is what you need for spreading stuff like "delta dust" in the tiny cracks of concrete block walls. Four stars only because it does what it should, and pretty well too. It blows a very fine stream into almost any opening. Be sure to wear appropriate protective gear; I used the Dewalt DPG82-11 goggles and 3M 07193 respirator, both of which I'd recommend in general. So this duster works, but seems like it was made in China circa 1950. That would be fine if it were priced accordingly, but it costs at least two or even three times what it should. I most object to the crude aluminum or pot-metal casting of the nozzle and its minimally-threaded collar. At the price, these should be stainless steel with machined threads, and gasketed. Also, a simple belt clip is available but not included. The same with a plastic half-funnel for filling it. Come on... at $50? I'm glad they included the 2-cent end-cap.This is what "the pros" use and recommend, and they care much less about the cost of such a tool. But I'm amazed there isn't more competition, as any patent would have expired by WW1.

Study, solid construction with precise puffs
The CentroBulb works really well compared to other dusters I've seen. I got one with 12-inch long extension which provides great coverage while tilting the bulb (don't have to keep it upright). The puffs of powder come out reliably and are easy to place into crevices and corners. It also lays a good even level of powder when held higher up. The CentroBulb provides an ample supply of powder so there's no need to refill often. I got the Centro Bulb originally for bedbugs that came with an overnight party in my daughter's room. Since then, I've used it around the garden, too. The long extension helps with not bending over so much. Study, solid construction of rubber and metal parts so I'm sure it's going to last for years to come.

Bulb duster works well, with a few issues
This Centro duster appears to be well made with quality materials and after some trial & error learning, I have used it quite effectively against several kinds of pests. My biggest complaint with the duster is that there is no gasket or seal at the bulb's screw-on connection. That causes a lot of your dust to be lost (and fall onto the user's hand & arm) through this joint during use. I sealed it somewhat by wrapping the threads with teflon plumber's tape. Another thing that becomes apparent is that the bulb needs to be shaken frequently during use for best application. Despite some claims that the duster isn't effective when held in a horizontal position, I found it works well at pretty much any angle, provided it is shaken often. Over all, I'm pretty happy with this purchase.

Well made. Will have to find something to us it to apply.
The duster bulb is well constructed and looks like it will last a long time. The extension threads are a little rough but, being brass, smoothed out with a couple of connections and disconnections. The only problem is the carpenter ant bait that recommended this duster was in granule form and, as such, does not apply very well through a duster. So, maybe I will find some other pesticide that this duster works well with.

Great Applicator for Pygenic Dust and the like
Works great, I love the long extension that allows you to reach uot quite a bit (especially useful when standing on a ladder). I use it to apply Pygenic Dust and it works very nice. EVen at 90 % humidity levels the dust stays dry and is useable after weeks in the bulb. Great !
