Took care of a hive behind my siding, and impressed my stubborn uncle too!
We had a huge wasp or yellow jacket nest in the side of our house, under the siding. They went far up behind the siding, so far that I was unable to see an end to it. It was there when we moved in a couple of years ago, but we had no idea it was there, since it is not able to be seen. The only way I knew it was there, was because I saw many of them flying in and out one day when we were all sitting out in my grandparent's front yard under their large maple trees.....they live right next door. They look like yellow jackets to me, but my uncle said wasps. I am not used to seeing yellow and black wasps. In any case, they were there in large quantities. One day last fall, my uncle was over, and asked if I had any bug spray. I have multiple chemical sensitivity, so I only use natural, non-toxic products. I had just purchased this spray only a couple of weeks earlier, but was scared to use it even though it shoots really far. I was so scared of getting stung, or having them all come at me, or anyone else nearby. So, when he asked me about it, I went and got it. He looked at it, read the label, then proceeded to go over to the wall where they were flying in and out quite rapidly. He started spraying, and from quite a distance....at least 10' away, and they started dropping, and he kept spraying til he got them all, and then got closer to the underside of the siding where they had been flying in and out. More started to come out, and fall to the ground. Others started coming towards him and the house to go back in, but they didn't make it. He sat back down with us, and we all watched. Some tried to go back in, but would always shy away from it, turn around, and leave. It's like it confused them or something. This year, I wanted to get a head start on it, and make sure they were gone, or weren't coming back. It got warm here in Ohio early, and we've already seen both wasps, and bees, so, the other night at dusk, I got the can, and sprayed back up in there, and all around the rest of the house at the base of the siding, and on the corners of the siding near the gutters as well. I ran out now, so I am back to purchase more. I don't want to be caught off guard without this on hand if we should need it again. I will probably do a preventative spray in another month or so, just to make sure they don't set up house again. This smells like wintergreen or spearmint to me, and is very pleasant. My uncle is very pro-toxic product type of person, and usually thinks natural products don't work as well at all, but I have to say, he kept saying the whole time how impressed he was with it......"It really works", "This is really strong stuff", "This stuff is powerful", "Wow, this impressed me, it worked great!"....and on and on. Let me tell you, that is not something he does......ever. I could tell he was very surprised at how well it worked, AND that it was safe, smelled good, and not only killed them super fast, but was keeping the rest of them from going back in, long after he sat back down. It made a believer out of him, and I'm so glad! I can't handle the toxic products, so I will always keep this on hand!*This product was purchased at full price, for my own personal use. I highly recommend, as I am coming back for another can, and it made a believer out of a VERY stubborn guy!

Excellent non-toxic alternative to harsh wasp spray
I purchased this going in with an open mind, as I do not like harsh chemicals. Wasps are starting to congregate this time of year, so I wanted to try something quick before going to heavier methods. The spray nozzle worked impressively well, shoots around 5-8 feet, and the spray actually kills wasps on contact. Not only that, but I had a crevice where wasps were going in. This left a nice scent that the wasps hated, and it drove them to find another area that didn't smell like this minty scented spray. Highly recommend!

Do not buy
Purchased July 2019 after I finished the can I bought at Walmart a few years ago. Walmart doesn't carry it anymore, so I thought this was the same product. It smells the same, but the sprayer does not spray like the can I bought at Walmart. That was so effective and had such a powerful sprayer, it could be used for self-defense. I could spray from a safe distance, and, it worked. The product through Amazon had a different spray nozzle, and barely streamed out a foot. I'm so disappointed. Plus, all the wasps lived! I may try ordering directly from the manufacturer. I will not order this product again from Amazon. I fear it may be a counterfit.

Worked!
Used to eliminate wasp nest on gable ends of house. Does not spray 20 ft upward. Needed to climb a ladder to use. Wasps and ladders. Yikes.Smell was nice and it did get rid of the wasps. If you don't require a strong spray, I would recommend.

So effective!
Wasps are just a reality of life in Texas in the summer. But I wanted something that wasn't toxic for us or our kids. I have been using this spray for YEARS. I will not use anything else. If you hit the bug directly, it'll shortly after fall down & start dying. Its amazing. And safe for the kids to use as well!

This Might Be the Problem....
I think the reason some people say it works and some don't is because of the type of wasp/hornet you are after. Here in Central WA, we have wasps that look more like what we called "hornets" or "yellow jackets" in the South. They are yellow and black, bigger and thinner than a bee, and not excessively aggressive. That being said, this worked FABULOUS for these wasps. I used this over my doorway last spring. It was the 5th year we've lived here and the 5th year wasps took over in the eaves over the door. With a little one just walking and wanting to keep the door open for the breeze and sun, I wanted something safer yet effective. I was between two brands and went with this one. I'm glad I did! It worked great for these wasps. They not only were killed, they DID NOT COME BACK ALL SEASON. I kid you not, I was so happy and that was something Raid or the other chemical sprays didn't do.One draw back, (and I would only take half a star for this, so I leave it at 5) is that the oil does make a little bit of a mess. There were oil spots on the wood porch and when I used it on the screen once, I had to take out the screens, clean them with soapy water, and get the windows. I had several wasps in the window that day, so since it killed them, I didn't mind. I didn't want me or the little one to get stung as I tried to swat that many. You might want to remember the oil base if you are spraying near something that might be hard to clean or ruined by oil. Other than that, I am ordering another can. After I check Ace, I think I saw this brand in there the other day and I think it was about $4 cheaper.

Effective on nests
This product is very effective when the stream reaches the nest. This weak stream has been an issue. At times I can't get the spray valve to work. This being said - when it works it is the best item I've used for wasp removal.
