I loved the author's style; she was approachable and inclusive holding no bias and welcoming of all. While the book focuses on African-American Hoodoo practices, they can easily be incorporated into other traditions. Most important was the overall sense of "don't sweat it, enjoy what you're doing and take care of yourself."

I regret wasting my time and money. This book is a complete dud.

This book is short sweet and to the point, exposing you to tidbits of info in a calm easy to digest format. I expected from the title to see much more emphasis on ritual and creation of Mojos, but did not find it. While what I did find was easy to understand and could be a great point to start from I was personally let down. This is a great book for seekers and a nice point to gain a beginning understanding I wish it was marketed differently to avoid confusion.

I've always liked books about magic, and Good Juju is a great introduction to magical spiritual practices. Najah Lightfood presents practical, easy-to-use information in a very engaging way. I particularly enjoyed the section on mojo spell work. I only knew the word as something used in song lyrics and didn't realize that there are actually physical mojo bags. The information on Hoodoo was also a revelation to me. Every time I open the book, I find something intriguing . I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in trying new spiritual pathways.

I love the way this book was presented. Instead of my way type of feel book, it's a directive opportunity to start at a solid point and see what works in your world. The author seems light and whole heatedly interested in bringing good juju into your life.

Susan Shapiro is a phenomenon. I’ve been inspired by writers and teachers before, but none have lit me up I’m the way Sue has. This book is filled with so much practical information nearly every word on every page in my book is highlighted. I can’t recommend this book enough to anybody who seriously wants to take their writing career to the next level.

This is one of my absolute favorite witchy books I have read so far. It doesn’t matter what your specific path is, this book is fantastic. I love the author’s positive attitude and authentic and wise persona. It’s full of useful information and succeeds where many other witchy books fail in balancing tradition with innovation. She doesn’t regurgitate the same cliche new age platitudes and techniques that every other book does, and you feel a genuine connection with what she is saying. So much love for this book. Highly recommend.

Great ideas - well presented.

Haven’t read much yet as per lack of time, but the Juju definition within is pretty accurate in reflecting what I believe.
