Young Pecan Golden Sweet Pecan Halves, 32 Ounce

As someone who eats pecans as pecans a couple of times a weeks, I will say these are better than average. They are smaller than most pecan halves - but I expected that. They have a bit of a crunch, but the nut texture is not all lost to the snap. They taste nice - no bitterness in the beginning or in the after taste. But on the downside, the package I received had more crumbs and broken pieces than I normally do in the other packages I have purchased on Amazon. They are not as flavorful as some pecans I have had either. They seem a little flat - like you have to reach for the flavor. But they taste like pecans. Buying nuts is tricky because of the seasonality of them. So maybe that is what is happen here.

I eat pecans every morning by putting a handful in a cup of yogurt, and sometimes I snack on them right out of the bag. I go through 2 to 3 pounds of pecans a month. I prefer raw pecans fresh out of the shell, but I needed an emergency supply so I "Primed" these Young Pecans. They're good pecans, and would be a great pecan for baking. They're big and meaty! The package does state on the back that they have been heated and dried. I'm used to raw fresh pecans so that was a downer for me, but they're still alright. They're a little dry because, well, they have been dried, like the package states. I may be an unfair judge because I'm use to the raw ones. I'll eat these up though. My favorite yogurt to eat with pecans is coconut. It's like eating nutty-coconut ice cream. You're eating something nutritious, but it feels naughty! Banana yogurt is good too. I think just about any yogurt is delicious with pecans, so do it! I also like Mexican Wedding Cake cookies, or sometimes called Russian Tea cookies. It's like butter cookies with crushed pecans and rolled in powered sugar. Soooo good!

This is the only brand pecans I will buy! I have tried other cheaper brands and they just don't compare. I do quite a lot of baking and these pecans are beautiful, flavorful and plump and bake great. I haven't found these qualities in the other brands.

I always have these pecans on hand. They are delicious. I bake pecan pies with them, eat them as a snack, and add them to ice cream, cinnamon bread, and oatmeal. They work for everything. They arrived packaged very well in only 2 days!

These pecans are delicious. They are large, sweet, and fresh. There were very few broken pieces even after taking abuse during shipping. I have eaten them straight from the bag and used them in baking recipes and salads.

Product of United States or Mexico--these pecans are perfectly fresh and dated as Best by July 2016. They are exactly what I want for baking this fall. These are not the giant halves, but are about 1.2 inches long and .5 inches wide, and all whole--no broken pieces in the two-pound bag.

Wonderful, wonderful and delicious. As a native Texan, I'm rather picky about my pecans (our state tree is the pecan;). These are not from Texas, but are fairly large and very fresh tasting. I've purchased twice and will continue to do so.

Tasty and fresh. Other cooks notice when you use large, whole nuts in your pecan pies. Just run 'em through the oven for 5-10 min at 375 degrees to get a bit of a toast on 'em before following the recipe.
