WildSide Salmon Cat Treats - 3 oz

I buy these treats all of the time for my cats. They absolutely love them & will keep buying them, however, I will play closer attention to the packaging. I've never had any problems with the quality of the product until one order, the salmon treats seemed a lot smaller than they normally are and were darker. I thought maybe the batch was possibly over cooked a little bit. The cats didn't seem to mind. When I started looking at the bag a little closer, I noticed English on one side of the bag and a 2nd language on the other. In the very bottom corner it said Product Of & the rest was covered with a Made in America sticker. When I peeled back the sticker it said China. In that time of having the bag with Chinese packaging, I had purchased another bag of the same treats. These treats looked like the ones that I've always bought, no product issues. No second language on the packaging and the "Made in America" was not a sticker, but actually part of the printed bag. This was enough for me to throw away the first bag of treats, maybe they weren't made in China and it was just the packaging itself, but it all seemed just a little too strange.

I got it for my Beloved Rocky and Jazzy (but only Rocky likes these treats). It was funny because the first time I opened it I let Rocky sniff and I poured on his plate and I was indecisive of where to put it, Rocky looked very impatient and frustrated and said "I don't care where you put it, just put it down, put it down!" Hahaha I should have recorded it. He said that in cat language. He loooooves this treat. If let him he would eat it all the time. But I said " Rocky if you eat it all at once you'll run out of your snack very fast. Then he started to eat a bit and some for later. Hahaha he's so happy. I'm happy if he is happy and I'm happy that it says that is 100% salmon and not all that crap that they put in the food. Also I'm happy that it says that it doesn't come from endangered salmon.EDIT:Today 11/21/18 it's been many months. The second batch made my Rocky throw up and he seems to pewk every time so I do not give it to him anymore. Not sure what changed. The first batch was great. Now it doesn't sit well with him. I probably won't buy it again.

I've been buying these treats for about a year and the quality has been consistent. They smell strongly of fish and my cat will not leave the bag alone if it is within his reach - I have to store them in a tupperware or on a high shelf to stop him from ripping the bag open. I've given them to some other cats who also love them, and the dogs get jealous too.To address some issues brought up in negative reviews:1. Some chunks do feel real hard if you are applying blunt pressure across the grain of the fish, but I've never come across a treat that didn't break easily if you just flip it and pull apart along the grain. My cat has no problem chewing them - if your cat has tooth problems, I would just make sure you break them up into small pieces for them.2. Some treats powder up, there will always be dust and small pieces from the treats breaking up at the bottom of the bag. I've never found it to be excessive though - the alternative would be pieces that really are as hard as some reviews claim! I've also found that the small pieces and dust make a perfect dry food topper for picky cats - they smell so strongly that it gets my cat to eat the dry food that he no longer likes.3. I've never had any mold or age or any other issues - they always look and smell good and fresh.

Found these at my local Whole Foods for much more, but tried them anyway and my cat is completely in love with these treats! We have tried other freeze dried salmon treats and I'm not sure if it is the type of salmon or what, but they were too rich and made my kitty sick. Not a problem with these. My kitty is so obsessed with them that she will push my hand out of the way as I am putting them down for her. She makes a little happy noise when she eats them that is very cute.

My 14-year-old cats love this treat. I feed them only freeze-dried treats now that they're older and allergic to most cat food ingredients (such as chicken, duck, and yeast). I've ordered bags and bags of these over the years. One cat has cancer and intestinal motility problems and needs six !) pills a day, which he happily takes because of the treats. The other one has asthma, and I'm able to pill her and use the inhaler on her because of these treats. These truly are a godsend.Amazon used to deliver these to us here in India, but doesn't any longer, which is sad for me but terrible for the cats :-(

My cat loves these! I hates getting his nails clipped but we give him some of these treats before and after the nail cutting process.He used to snarl like a Tasmanian devil to have his nails trimmed. Now when he sees the treats he jumps to the spot where we cute his nails happily to get the treats and nail trim. They’re great!

Not the same product!! I ordered this two months ago and it was pinkish and smelled strongly of fresh salmon. The cat went wild for it. I was convinced that this treat was nothing but wild salmon. When I reordered it was actually out of stock and I had to wait. When it finally came, I opened it and smelled chemicals but no salmon. Either the bag lining was heavily treated with chemicals, or the treats were. Also the treats were white and more dense than before. She ate two and lost interest. Also she threw up - maybe a coincidence. Not giving her any more of them.

I have tried 3 different brands of the freeze dried salmon and these are by far the best. Some brands you get pieces that are either way too big or are just crumbs, these are always fairly uniform and the perfect snack size for my cats. Also, I have had other brands where the skin is still on the salmon and nearly half of the bag the salmon is chewy and tough and my cats can't even eat it. These are perfectly dried and consistently the same perfect crunchiness. I won't be buying any other brands from now on!!
