does the power supply / adapter ... accept 220 volt input?

The label on the back of the power pack lists the input: 100-240 VAC 50/60 Hz, 0.8 A and output: 12 V - 2 A and 5 V - 2 A. It doesn't, however, have the big, heavy duty plugin you see on most 220 V power cords. Instead, it uses the standard three pronged plug identical to those used with power supplies in a tower or in older monitors before they all went to the laptop style power supplies that sometimes use the two pronged cord.

can it connect to IDE and SATA at same time? I have an IDE optical drive and SATA HDD. Can I use one adapter to connect both of them?

I'm not certain; I used it only to copy files from an old SATA drive to my computer via USB. The adapter claims to work for both, but it's unclear whether it does so simultaneously. I do see that the listing says, "Do not plug in 2.5" HDD and 3.5" devices at the same time."

How well does this holdup to powering internal desktop drives? Sata?

For SATA, it worked well while it did work. I never tried IDE.

Can you use with a mac computer?

Don't use this, it burned my hdd, and if you check other users reviews you will see it's a common problem, do not buy!
