Kempston 204041 Round Nose Bit, 1/4-Inch Shank, 3/8-Inch Cutting Diameter by 1/2-Inch Cutting Length

Bought. This to replace a bit that was getting dull cutting hardwood. It did cut but not well. Loaded up and did not make a smooth cut. Went back to my old bit and it did much better.

I use this bit only for routing truss rod channels in the guitar necks I build. The round nose fits the curvature of an adjustable 2 way truss rod perfectly.

Did very well in hand held palm router. Had to use fence to keep it from climbing off line.

Nice smooth cut, I used the heck out of it the first day for hours and it was still just as sharp when I finished.

I really like the length of the bit so I can use it like a straight cutter too.

I used this product for the first time a few days ago. The cutting surface is shorter than other round nose bits that I own, and the shorter worked just as I hoped on the tops of slider type boxes that I make. I would recommend this bit to anyone.

Nice and sharp. It cut hard maple with not problems
