Not a Great Option
The magnets are visible and they don’t stay on well. I spent most the day fixing them.

Outstanding Quality and Appearance
I have assembled put together units before but this one was far above the rest. When I first opened the package I was amazed at the beautiful quality of the materials. There was a problem with a damaged piece and that was easily taken care of, they quickly followed through on everything promised. Visitors comment on the beautiful entertainment center and the children love having a section to themselves for their gaming stuff.

GREAT GIFT IDEA
WE ALREADY HAD ONE OF THESE AND WE HAD TO GIVE A GIFT AT A PARTY THAT COULD BE FOR EITHER MALE OR FEMALE. THIS GIFT WAS A BIG HIT. THE PERSON THAT RECEIVED IT TOLD ME LATER THAT HE LOVED IT. THE CLOCK AND TEMPERATURE SHOW UP BRIGHTLY AT NIGHT AND DO EXACTLY WHAT IT IS SUPPOSED TO DO. THANKS!!

Easy to assemble, but some extra hands are needed
Sauder products are the best on the market for finish, precision, attention to detail and ease of assembly. I have tried others, expecting all assemble it yourself products to be the same, but there's an ocean of difference. Sauder's parts fit exactly as they should, with pre-drilled holes and instructions a young adult could master. Their patented fasteners make joining pieces a snap, and they have the coolest little gizmos to make the job easy and fool proof. This entertainment center comes neatly packed in two boxes on a pallet, and after you open it, there's no way of packing it back - the packaging is amazing. This is a fairly big unit, 65 inches wide and nearly 5 feet high, and is simply too bulky for one person to assemble. For example, at one point you have the thing lying flat on the floor, and you have to turn it over to nail on the backing pieces. I had two helpers turn it over for me, not only for the bulk, but also for the weight.Every piece is clearly labeled or easy to identify, and there are step by step illustrated instructions for the entire job. They even send extra nails and screws in case you lose a couple. A word of advice - you need a big work area to spread out the parts, and make sure your screwdriver is a Phillips with a long shank. I had a little difficulty fastening the feet, because my screwdriver wasn't long enough. The unit itself is big enough for my 27 inch flat screen with space to spare, and has adjustable shelves for the other components. There's an ingenious double door lower compartment, with an inner door that locks, which is handy for keeping the R (and X) rated movies out of reach. (Note: Only cardboard cased VHS tapes fit in the back compartment)Not shown is a side compartment for CDs, tapes or DVDs, with a magnetic opening device that opens the door when you press it. There are also two drawers for audio paraphernalia and a big middle section with an adjustable shelf. It looks exactly like the product photograph, and is extremely sturdy. I had an earlier model for six years, and the only thing that damaged it was a major flood. This product will dissolve like an ice cube when immersed in water. If you're going to be assembling it yourself, get Sauder.Amanda Richards, June 25, 2005
