I recently found a garden snake in our backyard and even inside our shed, so my husband got this because it also repels snakes so that I won’t be afraid to go in our backyard. He strategically put this near our shed and orange tree. It has a sensitivity and frequency dial and we set both towards the middle to start with since we have a dog and don’t want it to deter him from playing in the backyard. When the frequency is set to high, it makes a very shrill, annoying sound which we humans could hear, so we made sure not to set it to that frequency. The device begins to occasionally buzz and shake which probably is what causes it to repel animals. There’s also a flashing light that goes on and off. We like that it’s solar powered so we can just leave it in the sun all day and we don’t have to worry about charging it. It’s also waterproof which is perfect for outdoors. To be honest, we don’t know if it’s truly repelling any animals but it makes me feel better just knowing that I have something that supposedly repels snakes! We also have a neighborhood cat who frequently likes to hang out in our backyard, and I actually haven’t seen him recently since we put this up so maybe it is doing its job.

For the seller to put such an inaccurate misleading description of the product is outright disrespectful to potential buyers.The longest range of the sensor is 5 feet on its highest setting. And that is me, standing over 6 feet tall, approaching the unit head on. There is no chance that this thing is going to get triggered by a small animal such as rabbit. Any small animal getting some cover from the foliage will be invisible to this junk. If you have moose problem you can give it a try. In my opinion, the only positive review about this item will be given by someone associated with the seller in order to bust the sales. Verified purchase is not an indicator that the review is unbiased. The only way for the seller to make profit on this item, is to hope that customers forget or don't bother to return it.

update: sadly after a month or so ,my device has not been working as it did when new, the buzzer speakers don't want to work and its sound like its dieing out alot, and this is in full sunlight all day. dissapointed.I was skeptical about ordering this, but I needed something soon to keep the critters away from my chicken coop, they were always trying to dig around the front of it. I ordered this and got it quick, it was easy to put together with no issues. I charged it up through that day and set it out at sunset, e er since I've put it up, I've not seen any sign of critters around my coop, I did see on my security camera that a coon came by but ran off as soon as this thing went off, haven't seen since. The solar has kept it charged great to. Overall a great item for me.

Unfortunately we not only have an opossum issue, but we also have some feral cats that want to get on our deck furniture.After placing where it would have the optimum yard coverage and setting all settings as directed, still had issues. So we placed a no kill trap about 5 feet away, next we had a opossum in trap and a cat on the deck!Very disappointed!!!We returned it without any issues.

Very powerful and highly recommended on mode 5 but be careful with volume because it is loud. I turn it off every now and then I forget to turn it back on after my wife switches it off (because it bothers her) but there’s no more mole holes near unit which is why I bought it. I need to buy more.

Bought this product after I saw a snake passing through the back yard. It didn’t bother my dog and now I feel that my dog is safe to hang out on the yard. Very useful product during summertime on the South.

Set it up practically in the middle of the garden to keep an assortment of animals out. Had it set to high mode for everything...... cats, skunks walked right by it....... and yes I did charged it first and yes the light would flash but.... they just walked right by....... I returned it.

This product is annoying, to humans & pets. the rodents & snake laughed their butt off. Bought 4 and they are still there on my yard after 5 months is still working but snakes, rats, raccoons & their friends are all over my yard still. The snake sits on the rock right next to it. Don’t waste your money.
