TOL

I bought this multitool to keep in my purse because there have been too many times when I've needed a tool and have had to improvise with something that didn't really work or just wait until I returned home. I've only had the tool for about a week or so, but already I've had occasion to use the needle nose pliers, the screwdriver and the knife. It really is convenient and I love that it folds up easily and comes with its own carrying case.

DO NOT BUY. The title of this item is misleading, it misled my wife into thinking it was a quality tool. It is not. The quality is terrible. Difficult to open. They've used grommets instead of screws. None of the "tools" can be locked or safely used. Sending it back. Seller should be banned. I've submitted complaint to Amazon for fake reviews.

Sheath lasted two days of occasional using, after this it fell apart. Tool itself is hard to open. Price too high for junk like that.

I investigated this multi-tool because of its low cost.This is a very light duty multi-Tool (because it is non-locking, the handle is made from 0.035” stock, and the tools made from 0.055” stock) with 15 Tools, no outside access, and the tools do not lock open. The tools cannot be opened one handed. The tool is supplied with Sheath with Velcro closure. The tool is assembled with rivets. The Wire cutters are shear type for solid wire. The wire cutters will not work with stranded wire. The screwdrivers are of limited use due to polishing and removal of sharp edges. Two of the screwdrivers are very close together in size due to over polishing. The awl is not sharp.The tool has eight Fold-Outs, and 15 Tools. The tools are: 1) Needle Nose Plier, 2) regular Plier, 3)Wire Cutter, 4) Knife, 5) Awl, 6) medium regular screwdriver (0.189 x 0.045), 7) bottle opener, 8) medium-large regular screwdriver (0.208 x 0.043), 9) can opener, 10) #1 Phillips screwdriver, 11) small regular screwdriver (0.151 x 0.038), 12) 2.5 inch ruler/ 13) hook remover/ 14) fish scaler/ 15) file. The tools are accessed with fingernail cutouts and tabs. There is slight flexing of the handle when the pliers handles are squeezed. The tools are easy to open.The tool is 6-1/4" long when opened. The tool is 0.490" thick (0.551 over the rivets). The tool is 1.087" wide when closed. The tool is 3.929" long closed. The Pliers are 0.255" thick at the base, 0.751" wide at the base (closed), 1.975" long from the tip to the pivot. Stock thickness of the tools: Knife=0.052", awl=0.055", large screwdriver=0.072", medium-large screwdriver=0.054", File=0.056", small screwdriver=0.055", Phillips screwdriver=0.057", bottle opener=0.055". The Handle is fabricated from brushed stainless steel etched with “Tools of Life TM”. The tip of the pliers has about a 0.045" side to side play.Pliers close with a no gap at the tip, and will grip a single hair. The Needle nose teeth do not meet together (0.030 gap at valleys) such that the pliers will not grip a sheet of paper beyond the tip. The file is adequate for fingernails and wood. The Phillips screwdriver appears to be #1 in size and will not be of much use for a #2 fastener. The Small flat screwdriver is polished and therefore has rounded edges on the tip. The screwdrivers are not for prying.

This is a gift for my grandson and it is just what I wanted. I have used many variations of this product in the past but this one is just perfect. Item arrived sooner than expected and was packaged accordingly. This product was exactly what I wanted and when I need more I will certainly order from this vendor.

This versatile device that has nine strong precision tools I have found to be truly the useful "tools of life": Three multi-sized screwdrivers, two very sharp knives, a can opener, a saw, a ruler, and a pair of vice-grip-like pliers. They all collapse handily into a compact carrying case that fits discreetly onto any size of belt. Not bulky like a Swiss Army knife, sharper than a Swiss Army knife, and a pair of pliers that no Swiss Army knife can muster. Strong, weighty,masculine feel. I don't venture out without it.

Don't waste your money or time. The company refunded my money but the product wasn't worth keeping even for free.

I already own a Leatherman and thought I was getting an equivalent product; not even close! Don't waste your money on this poor imitation.
