Gulf Distressed Vintage Adjustable Snapback Hat

I’m a pretty big hat guy, and I will say I don’t give out reviews often… let alone a 5 star review. For context, I purchased the hat in distressed orange. This hat actually looks vintage in person, has a soft, genuine feel and feels like it was quality made. This is genuinely a hat I recommend for an old timer/farmer feeling. I will say, I feel like sweat will probably soak into the hat and it will whiten over time, that being said the vintage look kinda helps hide the sweat. The hat feels very breathable and it sits comfortably down the sides of the head riding right about the ear. A little pricey for a hat, but its hands down worth the extra money for a quality hat. Best hat i’ve owned out of the 40-50 i’ve owned in my life.

Being 39 years old from a small town in Eastern Kentucky, this hat makes me reminisce. It has a distressed look that actually looks real rather than that fake “trying to hard” vintage look. The value for money is awesome as the price point is great. I can’t attest to shape retention as I just tried it on, but it’s nice quality. The hat 🧢 does seem durable and I can wear it at Ford Kentucky Truck Plant, which is where I work. The wearability can be at the gym, work, or going out with friends.

EDIT - June 5th: I was contacted by someone from the company recently and they were more than professional about trying to help the situation for a happy outcome. In this time of convenience where everything is clicks on a keyboard with automated websites and shipping, it was refreshing to know that there actually is a person on the other side that cares about their products and their customers. Class act company all of the way that I will happily give my business to again. PROS: + Nice distressed look. + Comfortable fit as expected. Distressed looks aside, it has a very "broken in" feel to that usually takes 3-4 weeks to accomplish from regular wear. + Compliments from friends and strangers about the hat. CONS: - Gulf patch isn’t sewn on. Looks like it’s an iron on? It is half off when I received it today. *** The company remedied this issue for me very quickly. CONCLUSION: Every company can have an unsatisfactory product slip out the door from time to time. I won't measure this company on a single product but rather how they sought to remedy the situation professionally and timely. The liaison for the company did a wonderful job reaching out to me to help and that means so much in todays times when it's easy to feel over-looked. Thank you.

What a great hat! It's a skull hugger, very soft, easily sculpted, has the classic snapback backing, has a vintage, distressed look, and who can't love the iconic Gulf logo? It was a classic fixture of my childhood and that is just one of the best logos ever put out there. I like this one so much I have a backup queued up in the ole Wish List! Just get this one, you won't be sorry.

I really like the appearance of the hat overall. The distress work is nice and it truly looks worn. Only issue is it has no "body" to it. That's only reason I have 4 stars and not 5. It's a very soft hat and I was wanting something with more a bit of a standing brim so you can see the logo easily. That said, if you are looking for a nice soft hat that rides flat to your head this hat is perfect. It's also a great classic design.

Love this hat!! Been one of my go-to hats. I bought it because growing up here in the DFW area we used to have Gulf gas stations all over the place. They are no longer around so it was very nostalgic for me. Looks great. I got the orange color but you have different options. It looks distressed (another reason why I bought it) but it feels somewhat sturdy. Size is adjustable due to the snap back feature. Comes with the bill pre bowed but I went ahead and mashed it even more.

I love this hat. It is extremely comfortable right away and the "distressing" process has broken the mesh in quite nicely. Very much that feeling of a fovorite old hat right out of the box. Nice thick and comfortable hat band. The wear on it is done well with another layer of cloth under the brim cloth. The "distressing" process does not seem to have compromised the quality of the hat at all. I was looking for a vintage garage type hat just as a bit of nostalgia from the d service stations and the grease monkeys that worked at them. Have had a lot of people comment on my great old hat and ask where I managed to find it. There are a few companies making this style of vintage hat, after a good bit of research I found these ones to be the most affordable (some are rediculous in cost) and actually the only to be so completely vintage looking. Almost all the others I looked at had wear on the front, then the mesh looked brand new. The manufacturer has this hat in a few colors, and other hats done the same way as well. I would really like to see more of them on Amazon Canada so I can buy a couple more.

Quite expensive and took a while to arrive. USA to UK (although arrived within 2 days of ETA). Love it. Proper adult size and good quality. Colours are exactly what is shown in the pic. Love cars, own one.
