A Concise Review of Clinical Laboratory Science 2nd Edition, Kindle Edition

I have taught Clinical Laboratory Science for 26 years and I am constantly looking for good academic resources for my students. Recently, I saw a review of this book so I ordered a copy from Amazon. It is everything that the reviewer said it was. It is concise, but it contains all the important concepts and facts that I cover in my classes. It is ideal for a quick review of pertinent information before the certification examination. It would also be ideal for a review before a chapter exam while the student is still taking clinical courses. I recommend it wholeheartedly to my students. I only wish I had this book when I was preparing for my certification 30 years ago. Dr. Hubbard had written a truly excellent review book!!! Michael K. So I bought this book to help studying to take my ASCP exam to become a certified lab tach. I used only this book and labce.com to study for it, and I passed with a really high score. Needless to say, this book is very useful! It organizes everything you need in a great manner, and cuts out the junk that the school books cram in there. Easy to read, and the chapters are short enough to read in the thirty minutes or so before going to bed. Highly recommend it!

I would recommend using this with the purple and yellow book. This book gives more detail.

A excellent reference and answer and question book. MUST have to refresh your technical and scientific knowledge.

A nice concise review of CLS.

Very informative and helpful in MT / Lab review for students and professionals alike. This second edition, hopefully is updated with the latest /current developments in lab science that is the most important part in diagnosis and treatment of patients.

I bought this study guide because the one that the Navy provided me to use for the ASCP certification was the BOC which is straight questions and answers with some explanations to follow if you're lucky. Although this textbook is condensed and has key words in bold which helps them to stick in your mind, I feel as though it's leaving a lot out.I've taken quite a few practice exams and this material was missing quite a few topics, however I like the format in which it's presented. I accessed the online "pictures" hoping for more, but it's only the pictures that are already in the book, but in color. Also, I wish there were practice questions in the text at the end of each section so that you can do somewhat of a review, but there isn't.Honestly, if you're trying to get MLT / MT ASCP certified, I highly recommend Lab CE online. You need to pay for it, but it has excellent questions, answers, and explanations.

Just what I need for my course work. It is very informative and is an excellent resource material. A must have for all laboratory scientists.

Before I purchase this book, there is LOOK INSIDE thing , a preview. I was expecting that the case studies will be there but disappointed when I received the book. Those case studies, discussion is not there. THE LOOK INSIDE should be fair enough to tell what will the buyer really gonna get.
