Empty words and standard fare
Except this is in smaller chapters because... Reasons?Yeah, not the best work. Not even the most inspiring. It was marketed well and pulled the trigger to see what it was all about.I still have no idea who the Poet Humble is and now I will care less.

Priceless!! You will not regret this purchase!
The overall sense that I have from reading this... I am ok. I am 100% ok. There are moments when I'm like, YES!!! I have said/felt the same for years and moments of, Damnnnn... that changes things. The priceless "nuggets" are a beautiful gift, from a true spoken-word artist, that I will cherish and utilize daily!!!My words will do this book no justice. However, I 100% reccomend adding this to your personal library.

Very inspirational with sarcasm and a hip-hop flare
Unlearn:101 Simple Truths for a Better Life by Humble the Poet was the July personal growth read selection for my book club. I became aware of this book from my husband. He was listening to the Breakfast Club one day about a month or so back. He pulled up the interview on YouTube and I immediately added his book to my tbr list. As I continue on my personal growth journey, I knew I would enjoy this book. This was confirmed!Brief synopsis isn't really needed as the title basically tells what's in store. I compare this book to my first personal growth read this year, The Power of the Subconscious Mind, but from my generation's thought pattern accompanied with sarcasm (which is sooooo me...lol) and a bit of a hip-hop flare. I haven't listened to any of his music, I may need to after reading this book. One thing I will say is sometimes Humble takes the less popular viewpoint, but when you open your mind to consider his thoughts you may find some clarity in your life. He claims to be no expert. He sets out to share thoughts he's had as he lives life with the hope of helping those who think they're alone on how they think and feel. That alone is the most powerful concept of the book, to just help even if it's only one person. This one here is kind of hard to really pinpoint what spoke to my soul. Of the 101 truths, I took something from every last one of them. Regardless if I thought of me personally or someone I love, every last truth spoke to me. That would make this quite a long review so I won't do that to you all. I will; however, share the numbers of the truths I highlighted to revisit probably multiple times as I continue on my current path: 4, 7, 9, 14, 20, 24, 28, 29, 30, 32, 37, 39, 44, 46, 47, 50, 53, 59, 63, 67, 71, 72, 79, and 97. In the end, the 101st truth is for you personally, or myself to write. After reading this book, I again reaffirm my commitment to personal growth. I learned of an acronym while reading another book this year and I use it often WAIT....I won't give the details of the acronym, you may know it already. I'm sure the full details will be revealed in that book's review. My final sentiment on this book is to focus on self, addressing feelings, embracing obstacles, and making the best of everyday I have on this side.Tracey RobinsonWords For The Soul Book Club

You CAN do anything!
Common sense is not common. Humble the Poet helps you understand in this book that using your common sense and gut reactions are the tools we have inside to help us make better decisions. He has a way of explaining situations that is relatable to anyone reading, he shows we are not alone in some of our ways of thinking and that through talking and thinking of "the bigger picture", we can get through anything life throws our way. No matter what our dreams or aspirations are, it begins with us UnLearning our imposed habits.

Pick up this book and Unlearn the scripts you've memorized.
I found Humble The Poet on Instagram when Diljit Dosanjh tagged him in a post. So glad I did! I ordered this book as a result, and recommend you do the same. I read it cover to cover when I received it...and it's one of those books I know I will reference again and again when I need to be uplifted or get back on track. The book is straight forward advice, the kind you need from a friend that has your best interests in mind and sees through your bs. The advice is amazingly simple, but that speaks to just how much we all try to overcomplicate things with excuses and flawed logic. The book challenges you to be your best self by pushing aside the hard mentality or the way you think things "should" be. Pick up this book and Unlearn the scripts you've memorized.

EXCELLENT EXCELLENT EXCELLENT
This book is just what I was looking for at this point in my life. I'd started to feel stagnant and uninspired lately and I need a little pick me up and change in my daily routine. Reading this book is nothing mind blowing or earth shattering, its things we already know. But, the point of the book is we have to take a different approach to those things we've been taught or entire lives, and if we're honest with ourselves we have to do the work of implemented the pieces of insight given in this book into our lives to affect the change we want. No one can do this for us but us, so don't give anyone that power over you. Excellent, light and inspirational read. Definitely have recommended to most of my friends.

101% recommend this book!
This book @humblethepoet is literally a MASTER PIECE! There not a single page or paragraph that I did not relate to. Reading this book is like having a conversation with a very good and close friend. Number one thing and the most important thing I relearned is that I AM NOT ALONE. We all tend to forget that but it's the biggest truths of our lives. This book has helped me find so many answers and ask myself so many questions and face them. Most importantly This book has helped me let go of the unnecessary burden I do not need to carry around with me. I have already recommended this book to all of my friends and I recommend it to anyone here reading this review.

Simple and thought provoking...
The book covers the learnings and life lessons of the Author and is a humble reminder to take a step back and approach situations with a different lens. Whilst not aiming to be a self help book, the book reads as an interesting collection of conversations with someone who has a sensible head and is open to learning. The Author makes no apologies in it’s quite raw and simplistic brain dump approach to writing. Some may prefer a different style but for me it was a very transparent way to look at the meanings and message of the Author.Despite being an easy ready, you’ll want to revisit the book to give yourself to recap and remind yourself of the key principles underpinning it. To me that's a sign of a worthwhile book.I’ll be buying this a gift to two close friends…so testimonial enough that I think people should read this.

Incoherent mumbo jumbo
It pained me to read this book. Grammatically flawed, thoughtless flow, incoherent paragraphs. Felt like I'm reading Tumblr captions compiled in a book. Each chapter has no solid purpose. I had fun sitting with a pencil and editing it though.

Manufacturing error - missing pages!!
This is a great book so I bought it as a gift for my sister. She didn’t end up opening it for a few months but when she did she found that the first 35 pages were missing. Very irritating as it was too late to get a replacement- if I can get another copy that would be great?

Simple and reassuring
A great read....digestible chunks of wisdom and things to live by. I finished this and thought....actually I'm just about there! We probably only need to tweak a few life choices to be grateful and smile daily.
