Are these easy enough to turn on/off that I can teach my dog to press them?

How do you replace the battery?

Turn the tap light counter clockwise to remove from the base. The AAA batteries can be replaced once you perform this step. Then Insert into the base and turn the tap light clockwise to install.

Are they removable if you want to move them to another loacation, without leaving a sticky residue from the adhesive tape?

Yes, no leaving traces when moving or dismantle, because it is used traceless adhesive tape.(Only for Set of 5 Tap Lights, please read the introduction carefully before buying.)

Are these lights waterproof?

I really doubt it. in fact, mine are Just on the wall in my closet and they’re already falling apart. Very very cheaply made.
