Max has served multiple comforting purposes for me!1) heat (and on a larger scale than most microwavable heat pads)- has helped my arthritis and muscle pain2) comfort- my cat was a fixture on my lap at all times I was home for many years. She recently passed away, and I found being in my chair at home was difficult and unsettling. It was the next morning that I found myself in search of a heating pad to place on my lap that might replicate a little bit of kitty energy to get me through (Pathetic? Perhaps, but I didn't realize the physical sensation of having a furry friend directly on my lap (reaching beyond the emotional grief of the loss) would be something so noticeably absent and would affect my ability to relax and even to sleep).I came upon Max while searching for a larger sized microwavable heating pad while hoping I could also find something that had a covering that was washable. I also was looking for something NOT scented- most of what I found that looked promising turned out to list a lavender scent added, and I get headaches from scented products. I went through page after page with little to no success of meeting those criteria. But then I found Max- microwavable, larger-sized in comparison to most, soft (and cute!), unscented, had a washable outer cover, AND was weighted (a component I hadn't been searching for but am glad I found).I have been so grateful for Max. I washed the outer cover right away and Max remained soft and intact, and the heatable component is in fact unscented. I could not be happier, and Max has also helped with my muscle and joint pain at a time where physical therapy and exercise have been difficult to access.

My 17 year old loves this thing. I bought it as one of her gifts for her 16th birthday. She uses it daily. For the weight pressure when her anxiety spikes , for heat after softball games and practices, and heat when she has pain in the elbow she has metal plates in. Her first time flying she took it along with her to reduce stress. Security let her...all she had to do was take the bag out and let them inspect it.

This is so perfect for my 5-year-old with an anxiety disorder. He LOOOVES how cute and soft and cuddly Max is. We got him a basic weighted blanket a while ago, but he struggles to use it. Now when he gets upset, he asks for Max right away. Sometimes he just carries him around the house. His for is soft and his face and body are adorable. Well made. We even had to get a second one to keep at school! My only wish is that there was a way for the weights to stay put so they're evenly distributed. We're constantly adjusting them.

I am an adult with chronic anxiety. I figured I would give this a try, because I love my weighted blanket but it stays on my bed and I dont want to drag it around. This "Max" is way softer then I imaged and it has helped me so much! I lay it on my chest during panic attacks and it literally hugs me and really helps! I will definitely buy more for my mother and my students. Cannot recommend enough. I know this is for children, but it really helped me.

Incredibly soft. Very large and 5 lbs is quite heavy. I had read an article about a kid who had never slept the whole night and somehow a weight stuffed animal changed that instantly. Figured I had nothing to lose for my preschooler. I am shocked to say that he has actually slept through the night every night so far with Max. This is huge. I don't understand why as he is just cuddled with it and its not on him (like the way a weight blanket would be) but whatever. Shocked and so grateful. Awesome!

I got this for my mother who has alzheimers. During the pandemic we could not see her so I had it sent to the memory care facility direct. The caregivers there tell me she has her "pup" with her all the time and it's become a great comfort to her when we cannot be with her. I think part of that is due to it being weighted and soft. She keeps it in her lap and pets it for comfort. Thank you!

My child is on the Autism spectrum and he loves “Max”. We use him at the dinner table, car rides, he takes him to school, and “Max” lays on him right before bed. Basically Max is right by his side all of the time now :) It has made a huge difference in his anxiety and the deep pressure touch creates an almost immediate calming effect.It has truly changed our home life! I have told many of the mother’s in my ASM group about Max and they have had similar results. Do your research and see how beneficial weighted products can be for anyone with SPD, ASM, or ADHD.

I love Max. I have SPD and he has been a comfort to me on long drives and at night when I can’t calm down. My only critique for this already amazing product is that the fabric inside of the ears is a bit scratchy. It’s more of a personal preference, but the scratchiness of it tends to be a bit too stimulating for me.
