Very Disappointed
Loved the look of the chair but this is what's happened in the last 18 months. We bought two of them and they've beenpartially exposed to weather in Carlsbad, Ca. just north of San Diego. It's damp but the temperature is moderate. The style was the Bellaire Extra Heavy Duty. Not at all what was promised.

comfortable chairs!
i purchased two of these retro chairs in red to replace two cracker barrel rocking chairs that i had on my front porch. i was looking for something that would weather better than the wooden rockers and be more colorful. our house has a country look and i was worried that the retro chairs wouldn't fit in, but i absolutely loved the bright red color and wanted something that was weather resistant as well as something that stood out and picked up the other bright red accents around the front of the house...these chairs were perfect. you CAN incorporate retro with country !they arrived very quickly and were packaged beautifully. no dents, dings, scratches, etc. they seemed fairly easy to put together, but once i got to the part about inserting the arm pieces into the curved piece on the legs in the back, it was a bit more difficult. i understand why they were a bit difficult to fit into each other, in order to give it that tension and spring to the chair, but for me it was pretty hard to get them inserted into each other. it took me about 20 minutes to master the first chair, and because i have longer fingernails, it was a bit hard to the the screws and bolts on with the tool they provide. but i got it done. when i went to do the second chair, i found that the inside of the curved part in the leg wasn't smooth like the first chair. it had line of metal inside about 2 inches long that prevented me from slipping the legs pieces into it completely. just a manufacturer defect. when my husband got home though, he was able to use a metal file and a dremel to smooth the inside out so that the leg slipped in perfectly, although still a bit difficult because of the tension...but the directions did say that when i had read them originally, so at least i knew i wasn't doing it wrong...they've been outside for almost a month now, weathering beautifully, the neighbors have complimented me on how nice they look. they are super easy to clean, some windex and a paper towel or just soap and water will do the trick. my next purchase will be the matching table to sit in between the chairs!

Comfortable and Looks Great
I have four of these (yellow, red, light blue and lime green). They have to be assembled but that is pretty easy to do. I have had them for about five years and they have held up well to the weather. They have a nice retro look and they are comfortable to sit in. They work well on my lawn since the legs don't sink into the lawn. I am only giving this four stars because they are a bit unstable. I recommend being careful with these if you have little children. If you sit on the front edge of the chair, it can rotate forward and fall over. If you look at the picture of the chair, you can see how the rounded front edge of the legs is even with the front edge of the seat.Overall, I recommend this for the look and comfort.
